Michigan Tech post season thread, hunting for hardware!

Great stuff as always. Thanks!

I noticed a Schwartz on the Tech D corp for the 81 team. Any relation to Jaden Schwartz on the Blues?

I don't believe so, but without knowing Jaden's bio I can't say for certain.

I did find it interesting that teams were allowed to dress more than 18 skaters, hence the full 4 lines and the extra defenseman. And Ward Sparrow was actually listed by Tech as a defenseman, but it looked like in the video from the game that he played left wing.

One other thing was curious to me about this game. John MacInnes doesn't appear in any of the video or pictures. Herb Boxer came forward in the presentations at the end. I'm wondering if he was already feeling the effects of kidney failure that weekend.

I dislike MTU, but lothe SCSU more. Make Jan Brady pay for scoring the 2OT winner against NMU in 2010.

Wouldn't it be something if the title game came down to MTU vs MSU-M?

Houghton would collectively throw itself from the lift bridge. Kato is 4-0-1 against us this season. They're fur realz.

Re: Michigan Tech post season thread, hunting for hardware!

34 years ago tomorrow I was a 10 year old who was taken to the DECC in Duluth to watch MTU in the 1981 NCAA 3rd Place game. Soooo disappointed that I'm not in Fargo for the next appearance in person, but couldn't be more excited to watch today.

Let's go youse Huskieeeees!

This is the first Michigan Tech Huskies NCAA tournament game of my 31 year lifetime. Go Huskies!

Re: Michigan Tech post season thread, hunting for hardware!

Tech MUST get more end product on offense. The pendulum will swing the other way at some point, need more than a single goal when dominating the play like this.

Re: Michigan Tech post season thread, hunting for hardware!

That's a break that the Huskies don't usually get. Still no reason St. Cloud should be even within a sniff right now.

Re: Michigan Tech post season thread, hunting for hardware!

Rope-a-dope of the highest order from St Clod. Yes I know I left out the u, they look like chunks of dirt.

Re: Michigan Tech post season thread, hunting for hardware!

Whoa, dude that missed the empty net will have nightmares about that one if things don't go well for Tech in OT. But he can laugh about it if things do go well. Nightmares or laughing.

Re: Michigan Tech post season thread, hunting for hardware!

So crazy. Many dominoes had to fall for SCSU to tie it up, Petan's getting called for embellishment, Sweeney's missed ENG/icing. We missed Blake if the faceoff circle.

Fun season.
