Yeah, with UND and MSU locked Into the top 2 PWR spots, MTU can't get the #1 seed in South Bend and i believe they can't fall below 7 which makes Fargo only likely if Mtu finishes 7 and UND finishes 2. Granted this is without taking into account moving teams for attendance reasons, etc but since the top 8 are relatively set it seems unlikely anyone gets moved from the top two lines out of their proper matchups, unless BU falls to a 2 seed.

Other than the cost of a flight, I'd prefer to avoid MSU and UND UNTIL boston if possible anyway.

Looks like just over HALFTIME of the Championship game.

I'll just take a W against BG. At least I know we will have the majority of the crowd support in St. Paul for that game.

In my defense, that 159:46 total was posted at the end of the 2nd period of the Saturday game. But I did flub the time that the record would be in jeopardy. I'll flat out agree that a W is of top priority, but a shutout would all but guarantee advancement right?

Page Two? Unacceptable. I know this is all new to MTU fans still taking about hockey in late March, but we're in the playoff's folks. Chat it up! As the young kids say...

Did you see what that total idiot from UND proposed. Super regionals or the top seeds hosting.

Talk about crummy ideas that have been discussed ad nauseum. You would think he had thought about things before he spouted off. Of course his team would benefit. But do you really want to play a regional at Union, or Colgate, or Wmu.etc. no you don't. Not to mention the advantage certain teams who have olympic rinks would gain.

He needs to take a bigger picture and not be so money grubbing.

Maybe it's you who needs to look at the bigger picture and realize that UND is all that matters.

Yep. Its not l could have any less respect for that idiot, but he sure keeps piling it on.

I've been hearing about a surprising (to me) number of Tech fans planning to drive down to St. Paul for the weekend. I wish I could make it.

I'll be there. Of course, its a 30 minute drive for me. Tailgating between the DQ and Tom Reid's.

I'm thinking about making the trip. I haven't been to a WCHA Final Five since Tech made it in Milwaukee under Mancini. Anyone know if those $69 packages will be available at the Xcel box office on Friday or do you have to buy them in advance?

You have to ask yourself, if the NCAA has a problem in one regional, the mid west, why are they trying to change all 4. Let's do what is necessary to fix the one we have problems with, not the ones we don't.

Second, these tiny rinks don't have the facilities to handle everyone, and they are pretty dumpy.No hotel rooms, no parking etc. Third, they are hard to get to. Forth, it's an advantage for the home team. Tech can relate as the Dee was huge advantage.

We could all go down to a local high school rink too, but we aren't. We get attendance at about 6000, so lets get a rink that holds say 6000. Like say, Duluth, or the Resch, or Toledo, and work to make it successful there in multiple years. I think it would work at Van Andel too, but only if it has some history and builds over time.

I got an email last week from USA hockey saying you could get tickets for $20 per day which INCLUDES a hot dog, soda, and post game on-ice slap shot contest. It says it is an exclusive offer for MN hockey members, but I don't know they are going to prove you are a member. All the adult hockey league members got the email as well. It says to visit http://www.xcelenergycenter.com/youthhockey
Looks like today is the last day to get them.
