Re: Economics of Liechtenstein

MacInnes is school property. Officially that means no booze, and therefore no booze sales. And you know what? It should stay that way. Not because I'm morally opposed to drinking (Haha! :D), but I just don't want the type of people who only show up because beer is served.

I don't think people would just show up because beer is served.

I am only aware of an NCAA rule regarding no beer at events but I believe those are Championships. Tech may have some rule about it. MacInnes till part of auxiliary services?

They sold beer at NMU games when in Lakeview and at WI games before. None was allowed in the stands though.

Lakeview was owned and controlled by the City of Marquette, and Lakeview Arena had a liquor license.

The Berry Events Center is owned and controlled by the University. There are already quite a few liquor licenses used on campus, and the State will not issue another for the Berry. A temporary "portable" license the University uses for catering was considered as far back as 2005 for use for some games at the Berry, but that idea seems to have been shelved.

Since when do liquor licenses come from the state? Thats a county/city/township deal isn't it?

The utter stupidity in the other threads is so terrible, the BS from last night was about as bad as it has gotten. The worst part is, I have to "View Post" to report the morans. I just hope Harry and Lloyd never reproduce, those are 2 gene pools that should be drained.

Re: Economics of Liechtenstein

Even I chipped in a few reports last night, though I know they're unlikely to do any good.

At least Harry and Lloyd were funny.

So these fools are like Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumberer?
I'm more willing to agree with what the Commie said about them. They're not car wrecks that are fun to watch, they're more like the aftermath of a big old F5 Twister that just levels everything.

They're like a girl that is a 12 out of 10 getting the herp and clap at the same time.

Re: Economics of Liechtenstein

Word out of the game worn jersey collecting hobby is that the rumored "super conference" to stack up against the BigTen6 is going to happen based on the results of a recent multi-program tele-conference (anyone want to check Mel's phone records while were at it?) Announcement complete with scheduling agreements starting 2012-13 to be made public within the next 30 days. The CCHA "scraps", the UP teams, and a few MN schools will be on the outside looking in... I was hoping Tech would remain a part of a quality WCHA conference, but if not I guess we're just that much closer to an NCAA auto-bid and Mel's job to build a winner just got a lot easier based on the possible strength of schedule being cut in half if this is indeed fact.

Nothing is fact until it happens, but I don't like the sounds of this.
