Michigan Tech Offseason III: Two Years To Prove It Can Be Done

Re: Michigan Tech Offseason III: Two Years To Prove It Can Be Done

Official practice starts on Thursday I think, when are we moving to a season thread?

Also, it looks like we have a different volunteer goalie coach this season, former Michigan goalie, Steve Shields.

You'll like Steve. Very knowledgeable. Very personable. He'll definitely be an asset to the program.

Anyone following INCH's A to Z this season? They are to M and haven't brought up a Tech Husky yet. Any guesses who they will feature? I'm guessing its Pearson since they did a lot of the other new coaches. If its a player, the only ones left that I could see featured are Brett Olson, Blake Pietila, or Steven Seigo but Seigo was featured last year...

I'm pretty sure they featured Olson 2-3 years ago. Very little doubt in my mind that it's Pearson.

Well with the lack of females on the Tech campus, this was bound to happen. Cougars are known to cover vast distances to claim new territory. Let me know which bar this one frequents so I can steer clear.

you wish!

As former Cougar prey, I beg to differ. Although I was in "Cake-Eater" country, and you are/were in the......UP. Big difference. :)

Its not Oct 1st. How is that possible? I'm guessing you're talking about captains practice, so no mel.

Actually, practice with the coach is allowed earlier now...but the whole team can't be on the ice at the same time. It's called "small group" practice.

Some days I think the NCAA only exists to create rules which are both pointless and confusing as to invite violations. Practice or don't practice - who cares how many skaters are on the ice. I wish the world could have more regulation and rules... I would hate to see lawyers and adminstrators be out of work.

I think guys like Davis and Sweeney will play a lot against Lakehead and AIC, not so much against wisconsin though. Unless they are clearly the best defenders earlier.
