MICHIGAN TECH HUSKIES...2016-17 season. 96th season of hockey (continued, part 2)

I've had it with WCHA TV. The video failed in the 3rd. Not gonna pay for that type of service going forward.

We have twice the shots, and half the goals. Sigh.

Overall, we need to stay out of the box, trading calls is a just bad deal for us. If we can get everyone moving legs, and avoid getting the crappy calls in the offensive zone we might have a chance.
For a team that has such a great Pk, we didn't get it done this weekend. they were able to dominate on the pp. And I wonder if Wintjes will play again, Redmond has been marginal the last several weeks.

Agreed on every point here. It's been extremely hard to watch. This may have been the hardest season I have been through. After the past 2 seasons and the promise this team showed I feel this season was still a let down. Thos 5 and 4 win seasons were hard but I never expected much from the team those years anyway so it was easier to stomach.

Hopefully we are getting a playmaker or two in with the recruits or that one of the underclassmen from this year will develop into that playmaker and setup man. I think our defense will stay solid and Angus is definitely a solid goalie even if he has cooled off some down the stretch. I do find it interesting how this season played out across the entire league though, nothing went as planned, BGSU and MSU were not nearly where they were predicted to be and Bemidji way overachieved in conference. Will be interesting to see what the playoffs bring and then it will be on to next season.

I feel you, but sadly I'll probably buy it next year too because I do like watching.

Well we get LSSU next weekend, I was actually hoping to play them as opposed to NMU.

Yeah 3rd period on wcha.tv was horrible.

Looks like LSSU next weekend.

No It looks like NMU again. I think it will be a tougher test for us the way NMU has played. Lake st is at Brmidji correct?

How is it NMU again? LSSU is 7th after taking 2 points tonight.

Lake State had 33 points going into the night, NMU had 31, LSSU won in SO getting 2 points to go to 35 and NMU got 3 to go to 34, we should be playing LSSU.

The LSSU announcers were pretty sure they were going to Houghton.

I see. I thought LSSU was 1 point ahead going into tonight.

It should be an interesting playoff tournament. It wouldn't surprise me if Northern knocks off Bemidji, they have some goal scoring snipers, and their goalie is good.

Aside from last weekend where they were not very good defensively, they have been real good the last 6 weeks. Same for BG and Mankato, alas, not true for Tech. We have struggled in almost every game. We outplay almost everyone, and then find ways to give them easy goals. Either we turn it over or our goaltender doesn't make a stop he should. I would trade the great stops for all the should ones any time.

Looks like Defiel carried Lake State on his back tonight. If he keeps that up, this is not going to be an easy series for Tech. We've already shown a propensity for folding under pressure.
