I heard from Central Ticket Office that Mel is in the process of trying to secure one more series, then the season schedule should be released.

am starting to worry. GLI and Northern so far. maybe no one else wants to play us?? :(

Starting to worry about what? MTU will be at GLI, at Michigan, at Michigan State for sure this coming season with 4 more games available...strong rumors there will be a series with UMD.

I wonder what exactly UMD and MTU are trying to figure out. Wonder if they're trying to avoid a home and home and will do a 1 for 1, with a return trip in three years.

I am guessing we will start to see more schedule releases the first week of May after next weeks coaches meetings in Florida.

I'm chilling at the KBC. In town for meetings with the University. (I'm becoming influential) Come down and drink a beer with me, I'm looking for someone to chat hockey with. I'm looking at you, Mel, I know you must read this!

C'mon, I'm just saying. You can't deny that's been the thinking by Wolverine hockey fans ever since Mel left Ann Arbor. I have a good friend who still insists the press release will come the day after Red announces his retirement. It's going to be fun to rub a bit of salt in the wound when it doesn't happen. :D

Anyone heard anything from the coaches group vacation in Florida, err coaches convention? It has been strangely quiet.
Time to update the Tech website to SEVEN-Time WCHA champs...

Just got this from a Michigan alum:
"The Michigan Tech series is going to be Oct. 21-22, the same weekend as Homecoming football, so that's your Michigan sports fix weekend. We plan to recognize the 96 national title team that weekend too. :-)"

The next weekend will be the first NMU series (Friday in Houghton, Saturday in Marquette) on the 28th & 29th. I'm led to believe that the first weekend in November will be the series at Michigan State.

Sounds like Tech will not have any new jerseys next season, keeping in mind Tech has to wear black at home half the season now, when the make changes I would like to see the following:

Keep the current white design with the round crest
Keep the current cream "Huskies" design as the "light" throwback / alternate
Replace the current black jerseys with the new Husky oval logo below
Replace the current gold jerseys with the vintage jersey belowas a "dark" alternate
(Last time Tech had something like this was 20+ years ago so it's time for a new throwback concept)
This gives the team two jerseys options for home and road. Right now they really have three lights and only one dark option.
