If you're posting on a Tech thread expecting that other posters will genuflect to BGSU, please go away.

To posture yourself as the defender of MTU's reputation is preposterous.

To pose as the voice of Tech fans is both arrogant and ludicrous.

I stand by all previous comments, and feel quite positive that bigblu's response proves my point. Suggest you get back on your meds before you hurt yourself.

None of us are huge fans of people from other fanbases coming into our thread and telling us we're not giving respect to another program. You've been pretty annoying every time you've come in here so I'm not surprised that bigblue was a d!ck to you. He is one of the most obnoxious tech fans on here but his sentiment is probably felt by most of us. This is the 2nd or 3rd time you've come in here and been an ***.

I don't know if I'll follow much hockey this weekend, I'm sick of it all right now. The bad taste in my mouth from this Tech season really makes me disinterested in what happens next weekend. Overall, I'm hoping that Ferris loses in the first round (since they're already in the tourny), and that MSU goes 1-1, and gets in as an at-large, giving the WCHA 3 teams in, and the HUGE MISTAKE 2 teams. Also, it would nice if Minnesota rolls the BIG MISTAKE and they only get 2 in also. Now, to the pairwise predictor to see if it is possible...

I don't know if I'll follow much hockey this weekend, I'm sick of it all right now. The bad taste in my mouth from this Tech season really makes me disinterested in what happens next weekend. Minnesota State should stay in the 13-14 range if they go 1-1. I did one combo where Michigan snuck in as the 14 with UAA and Mercyhurst the AQs and MSUM as the 13. I was trying to see if there was a way for FSU to be a 1 seed and still get MSUM and UAA in the tournament...don't think so.

Haha, I just got FSU a #1 seed, MSUM in and BGSU as AQ plus B1G Mistake at 2 teams and NCHC at 2 teams

Does that thing tell you which team will bounce my boys out in the first round? If not that, can it give you an indication of how it would need to shake out do they could play, and beat, Michigan in the semis on the way to the title?

As HN and I were discussing over the weekend, being mediocre is worse than being outright bad. With mediocrity, there's an opportunity for hope to set in. When the potential isn't realized, that's when you get frustrated because the what could, and maybe should, be doesn't materialize. We were certainly hoping to see the mighty Techsters play this weekend, and he's pretty disappointed that's not happening.

If your team is bounced in the first round this year....you're looking at a Holy Cross type of incident. Except, this time, they might be called Bob Morris or Mercy Hurst

Since when is being disappointed in our team's performance over an entire season equate to disrespecting one team that we played in the last 2 games of the season? You and Freddie came into the Tech thread to complain about disrespect as we are complaining about Michigan Tech's disappointing season and finish...if we had a series thread I would have commented a congrats to BGSU, they certainly were the better team this weekend and deserved the sweep, as far as I know there wasn't one and I feel no need to comment on BGSU in the Tech thread...we're not immature, you guys are for thinking we should be talking about BGSU in this thread. Michigan Tech's season can be described as nothing but a disappointment, no home ice, no GLI win, not getting to the Final 4ive or even forcing a 3rd game...all of those things are disappointing and we're going to complain about it...F off.

PS: LOVE your band. What they lack in size is MORE than compensated by their spirit, enthusiasm and camaraderie. Half the time we can't even get our band to show up at home games. My hat's off to them, especially the tube players who made guest appearances with BG's band Saturday.

That was actually a smattering of students and alums in the area that they rounded up. We were genuinely surprised it was allowed - the WCHA didn't allow traveling bands for the longest time. Not going to mention any names, but apparently SOME bands were evil SOB's in the 60's through the 90's

Sizewise, they're actually pretty big. ~300 total members when I graduated, attendance varies based on event type/how many we can cram into the assigned area. Another group was at the D2 bouncyball regional in Springfield, MO.

If you had told me at the begining of the New WCHA that the fan rivalry between Bowling Green and Michigan Tech would have more vitrol to it than the recent MTU/NMU rivalry, I would have laughed.


Boy the playoffs do spur some silly rivalries, doesn't it?



Sidenote: I miss the old "Tootsie Roll" BGSU road jerseys...
