IT was more than just the second where tech was outplayed. They seemed a step behind most of the night and kept making turnovers in the slot when trying to clear. Fortunate to get a point tonight, will need to play better tomorrow

Mike Sertich is great. he gave the best Blue Line lunch. hilarious. and a nice guy, great coach.

Well, after a day of digestion, I agree with oldish husky that tech was outplayed and a step slower in more than just the 2nd period, but they still had a great chance to win the game and came out with a point.

my observations included that UNO loves to play a very uptempo game and love to forecheck very hard. Tech did an all right job of countering that included Reddick's goal and multiple odd man rushes. We also made many turnovers because of it giving up odd man rushes and a guy standing all alone in front of our goalie again!!!! I also saw that UNO loves to play very chippy, lots of the borderline interference, checking from behinds and lots of clutching, grabbing, slashing, hacking. I think tech did an outstanding job of not taking the bait and picking up retaliatory penalties (like they would have last year).



Keys for Tech tonight:

Crisper, cleaner passing... when we beat their initial pressure clean last night we had very quality scoring chances. This key is especially true on the PP. They really forced our PP to look out of sorts last night. quick decisions with quick passes beat that pressure last night and they have to be better at it tonight.

Stay out of the box: this one is obvious... we can't afford to give up another 5 on 3. The boys really need to stay disciplined and not take any stupid retaliatory penalties. I will bet a dime to a doughnut that today's game will be even chippier than last night.

Be better on the PP: we need to cash in our opportunities...

If we can do these things we will win. UNO gives up many great scoring chances when you beat their initial pressure clean. I believe we will do this tonight!!!

Good job picking up that crucial point last night, now let's go out and get 2 more tonight and the tie-breaker with UNO!!!!!

Tech needs two points tonight and this thread needs to die before the playoffs. Our best season in I can't remember how long and we are only on part II... That is a weak effort on our part.

Did I mention that the Boise airport is really boring... Yeah they have some blue turf you can get your picture on in the lobby and WiFi, but other than that...

It's not THAT far of a walk. :p Besides, he probably just wants to get his Stevie Y autograph tonight ;) (Anyone know if he's still going to be there?)
