Re: Michigan Tech 2011-12 Season Thread, Part II: You're gonna need a bigger bandwago

Coach mentioned in the post-game that they have to play better without the puck. Sounds like a broken record to me. Also he sounded pretty disappointed. Me too. He was a long time in the dressing room after the game as well.

From what I saw on the video they looked like their hearts werent in the game. Here is to hoping for a better game tomorrow

I dunno... they had tons of chances. 35 shots is not a bad showing... they need to finish. And give credit to St. Lawrence's Goalie, he had some crazy saves.

You got that vibe too. He did sound a little down. Maybe just the two weeks on the road getting to him, or he is starting to channel JR a little bit.

This team is by large the same group of players that for the past couple of years has been hard pressed to put a couple of strong periods together much less string a couple of complete games together. They are starting to come back to reality the past couple of weeks.

Yes they have. I think Mel is really working hard on instilling the winning mindset and on developing the understanding of what it takes to win. Some of these old habits just die very hard.

Yup, splits make me happy Tech fan!

Re: Michigan Tech 2011-12 Season Thread, Part II: You're gonna need a bigger bandwago

What was the old saying... win at home, split on the road? At least Tech has the second part down pretty well - let's see if they can accomplish the first.

The other thing thats pretty interesting besides Flashy's not that we're averaging ~11.5 more shots per game is that they have been rather consistent between friday/saturday. Tech is 4-3-0 on fridays and 4-2-1 on saturdays so far this season.

Re: Michigan Tech 2011-12 Season Thread, Part II: You're gonna need a bigger bandwago

Getting out of November with a 3-3 record should be considered acceptable considering the horrors of recent Novembers past. I don't believe Tech has had a .500 November in years.

I gave in and bought tickets to the GLI. I spend too much money.

Re: Michigan Tech 2011-12 Season Thread, Part II: You're gonna need a bigger bandwago

The problem with buying tickets from the tech web site is that you have to sit in them. I'm buying six but they are going to be on the red line not in the corner.

I didn't buy tickets on the tech website. My seats are at the blue line, I believe.

Re: Michigan Tech 2011-12 Season Thread, Part II: You're gonna need a bigger bandwago

I watched the St. Lawrence games on the St. Lawrence streaming site. Their video was smooth over my 3Mbps DSL, unlike HuskiesLive, which often has breaks in streaming for me. I speed tested my DSL and it's very near 3Mbps, so I assume the issue is on the server end. The post game interviews are even worse because they're at higher res. I can't even watch them on HuskiesLive....I have to wait until THG posts them on YouTube. Anyone else get chunky response from HuskiesLive?

Yep. even with a cable modem at home there are problems at times though mostly It works ok. On the road, say at a hotel where the speed is slower, a 2 or 3 minute video that wes posts will take 40 minutes to watch. Part of the problem is that you can't do like youtube and let it load and then watch the whole thing at once since it doesn't buffer.
