Re: MEET YOUR FRESHMEN! - Kevin Genoe

If his favorite pro goalie is Waaahhh!!, and his favorite equipment is the trapper, can we expect him to do the Statue of Liberty? ;)

Actually, it would be called The Lammy (which is the college version of Roy's move), named after the UND goalie, JP Lamerioux (sp?). ;)

I guess it looks like I might be on one of the last flights from MSP to Hancock when I fly up there for the MN series. From what I can tell from the article, Mesaba is required to maintain service through December 14th, my flight is on the 11th. I was nervous at first, thinking that my flight would be cancelled, but now it looks like I'll be ok. It still really sucks that they're making this change, there is no way in hell I'm flying through O'Hare to go to Houghton, driving would be faster!

I'm browsing the Mining Gazette website...

More proof as to how backwards the UP is: A NEW Pamida just opened in L'Anse. This has to be the first new Pamida in 15 years. Who opens a Pamida?!? Hell, around here all Pamidas closed about 15 years ago.

Pamida stores are generally located in smaller communities that range from 3,000 to 8,000 in population.

Agreed.
I was furious when I first saw that.
It's difficult enough for me to get on one of the THREE flights to MSP to make my connection to DTW on time. Now it's just going to be pure hell.

Calumet!

Pamida sucks. That was the main point of my post. When I was about 5 I went with my mom to get a new bike...at Pamida. It was a POS and it broke, how a 5-year old breaks a bike, I don't know, but it was junk. Hated Pamida ever since. I also gave up on riding bikes at that time and just starting riding the '84 Honda Big Red 3-Wheeler. Yeah, my childhood was pretty badass now that I look back at it. I've maybe ridden a bike once since I was 5-6 years old.

Recruit Tanner Kero is on the NHL Central Scouting "Players to Watch" List. I had the chance to see him play last weekend at the Rangers game. He seems to have quite a bit of potential, though he is very small right now. He has 8 pts with 6 goals in 12 games so far this season in the NAHL.

Do you still ride a big wheel?
