Yeah it's because PB&J are saving up to go to Grand Forks to come and see me :)

Yeah it's because PB&J are saving up to go to Grand Forks to come and see me :)

You're going to have to work on convince my worse half of that one. He's not a fan of the idea, and we do have the opportunity to go to a Blackhawks/Wings game that same weekend, for way cheaper, as we could stay with his parents in WI, and take the train from Milwaukee to Chi-town. (PB is a Blackhawks fan, J's obviously a Wings fan)

I am not going to Denver.
I will probably be going to Grand Forks, but not really for hockey, but because they have bars overlooking the ice. Hopefully that will help with not remembering how bad the game is.

Don't tell PB that! Somehow I have a feeling that this will entice him into going, but I also feel I may end up losing him to the bar :p

An open letter to President Mroz:

Wow, another pitiful year of Tech hockey. So what's the answer, eh? What are you and the administration doing to improve the team? Anything? You personally told me that your goal was the Frozen Four by year 5 of your presidency. Well, that's this year and the team has never been further away from Frozen Four than it is right now.

It's time for you and the administration to do something. The fans deserve it, the players deserve it and the great history of Tech hockey deserves it. If all you want is a Div. I hockey program, then slash the budget and just live at the bottom with a great pep band and active USCHO forums about drinking.

What's it going to be, Glenn...tell us...we're big boys we can take it. Don't make promises you don't intend to keep. If this is all we have and all we're going to get, then tell us. So we can brace ourselves for next year when the WCHA adds two more teams, and we slip down to number 12.

Glenn Mroz does not single-handedly control the behavior, misfortunes, and ability of the Michigan Tech Huskies.

Continuing on... While I'm not necessarily a fan of tInstitution, they're trying. There have been major upgrades to the Mac. We've got fun toys like the skating treadmill.

I realize that we've had a few glory years, a few decades ago, but please don't disgrace our program by suggesting that right now, a great pep band (which I agree with) and active USCHO forums about drinking are all we've got. We've still got our history. We've still got awesome players with awesome potential. We've got Conner & Durno & Scott making us proud in the NHL.

Five years ago, I might've told you that in five years we'd get to the F4. Hell, I'm sure any Tech fan would've loved to tell you that. But would any Tech fan have known that one of our stars would have a stroke? That another would go down with a shoveling injury? That we'd lose our best recruit because he was an absolute idiot? That we'd lose our goalie after his junior year?

Sh*t happens, and while maybe you hit a good point or two, and your overall idea in this "letter" was pretty accurate, you also said some stupid as hell things which make your point invalidated.

I am for another 3 months and then you're on the own again, and how I cannot wait because then I can give you even more sh|t about being underage, because then I'll be of age and it will be validated...

Gulke, I completely agree with your post about being a Tech fan who is 21, the bars in certain hockey opponents cities seem to be better than the hockey itself

I'll repeat what I said in another thread. If you think that changing your coach will magically make your team better, you need your head examined.
Having said that, this year is a bummer. However we do have some good freshmen. I guess I'll have to be happy with that.

3 months? *****. I'm going to need to get recruiting fast. The sad thing is that I'm like the 5th youngest student at Tech.
