Michigan @ Minnesota, Feb 14 & 15

Re: Michigan @ Minnesota, Feb 14 & 15

I guess the league officials who reviewed and discussed these hits must have more hockey playing experience than Alfablue!

I am sure when he posts his disapproval here and reiterates his hockey playing experience, the B1G officials will rescind the suspensions. ;)

Re: Michigan @ Minnesota, Feb 14 & 15

I like the consistency. After all, you guys are certainly always saying what wonderful, intelligent people those B1G hockey officials all are.

Refs are consistently good when the calls go our way and consistently bad when they don't. That's always been the case, consistently. :D

Yes. You consistently get your undies bunched if a Gopher fan complains about a dirty hit you haven't seen.

Try walking a mile in my skates, buddy. You think this is easy? Pointing out gopher shortcomings every day?
Well, yes, actually, that part is... But it never ends! And given gopher knot-headedness, there's really no hope it will improve humanity even in the slightest. But do I let that reality get me down? No! I stay positive in hopes that one day my work here will help even one single gopher to become a marginally functional human being. I remind myself constantly, should that improbable day ever come, it will all have been worth while.

You try far too hard to be funny, and you're not.

Strange... most of us function just fine. The only difficulty we typically face is the discrimination from the world out there out to get us simply because of the team we root for. We are united and our cause is just. We will not be pushed aside and will take to the streets once again.

Oh Tiggsy... You I had some small hope for... Look, don't let Dirty pollute your mind with his "Oh, we are so oppressed" rhetoric unless you're prepared to change your team's name to the Minnesota Golden Dandelions.

There's your problem cropping up again. You are trying to talk about something you know absolutely nothing about. Where I come from we skate in skates. Your blades and your wit could use a little sharpening.

This is the exact same reaction I had from the series thread with them a couple weeks ago. Posts like this are just not as funny as he wants them to be and his feeble attempts to post pictures and be like Gurt were just that....feeble.

I forget, is Dubby Siskel and you're Ebert? Or is it the other way 'round?

I'm not exactly sure how to react to the fact you had hope for me. I'm a little proud that someone from the great evil red menace to the east has something marginally positive to say about me. Then again, I feel a little upset at the same time since my tArrogance must be slipping for someone who follows a boring team that is shedding fans in droves would not see it. I do offer my sincere thanks for making me realize I need a tArrogance brush up.

So it's nice you had hope for me, but I never had any hope for you. But again when you follow an evil red team who might score 2 goals in a game if they are having a good day, you are likely beyond hope. Still, that aside... I wish you the best of luck going forward that you someday come to realize the error of your ways. There is always room on our bandwagon for converts. Feel free to come along, when you are ready.

:)

He'd have to show some interest in hockey fan first

You're right. There should be a knowledge of the game test before being allowed to convert. Passing could be seen as being contrite about any past wrong doings by supporting the wrong teams.

Example:
1.) You "sieve" a goalie when...
a.) He allows a goal.
b.) He makes a save.
c.) You're never supposed to stop since "we" invented it.

Wisconsin's most significant contribution to hockey.

The sieve chant.

Nice.

And they didn't even invent it. Though it is cute that they think so. I mean, to think fans of a school that dropped their hockey program for almost 30 years invented a chant that pre-dates them picking the sport back up is amusing.

I guess the fact that they are wrong about inventing the chant is consistent with the misuse of the chant by their fans. So at least they're consistently wrong :p
