That said, maybe the snow is instantly vaporized by the impending impact. Ever think of THAT!?!

Yes, I did. Obviously what else could it possibly be? I was trying to find the positive in that photo and at least we could enjoy some warm weather for a few seconds before the impending doom. So that's nice of you to allow us that. :)

Friday night is at 8pm and is on BTN, Saturday night is back on FSN and starts at 7pm, didn't see that mentioned yet. :)

Jeez - fan of a Hockey East team in the midst of a free fall, hoping to brighten my spirits by eavesdropping on what was sure to be a flamefest, and I get this?!?!

Y'all need to get a freakin' room!!! :-)

Trumped by being an Evil Empire school. Surpried that we've not had an earthquake in Indy, since two of the three evil empire schools are in the same conference. Think of what would happen at a Frozen Four when Minny, Michigan, and BC show up. That 4th team would have a lot of love going their way.

I'm so used to being hated that it's hard to hate anymore. We are everyone else's #1 rival, but our real hockey rival is in East Lansing. I'm sure you can relate to how much people hate you for not thinking that they are rivals. Drives them nuts.

You should have checked in last week. Minnesota/Michigan just doesn't currently have the level of mutual hatred as Minnesota/Wisconsin. I expect that things will heat up over the next couple of years, but it just isn't there yet.

Yea. Michigan isn't considered MN's top rival, yet anyways.

You still have to leap over 3-4 teams to gain that title.

Plus you guys have a losing record against MN all-time. So we aren't all that concerned. ;) :D

Hated? Michigan? Why would anyone hate Michigan since bobby socks and Eisenhower? What would be the point?

One other factor that kinda softens the "hate"- a couple of us know other posters. I can't stand OSU, but some of their posters are great.

It's hard to spread hate over people you've played hockey with. That was too much fun.

Going to be an interesting weekend to see who shows up. Minnesota has dominated the season, up until they got to Madison last weekend. Whereas Michigan has been up and down, which they did both of in Happy Valley last weekend.

I've not had a chance to read the press on Michigan, and if bad things had happened to the team on top of getting beat up by Penn State. So it's hard to say that Nagelvoort will start- that kind of bad game makes people double take. And it's hard to say who is going to score- sometimes all the expected players score, sometimes all the expected players don't. The old story of shaky D has been coming and going, too.

Anyway, since the BC weekend, I had been looking forward to watching this series- just because the style of the two teams should make for really fun hockey to watch. Lots of passing, flowing plays, pressure, cycling, and goaltending. I hope it's as fun as I wanted.

So discuss.

For future reference, all Gopher game threads need a smiley or something to set it apart from the lesser threads.
