Michigan Hockey 2020-2021 Yost town feels like a ghost town

Even during the Friday night game, the Fox Sports crew was making it sound like the top 3 B1G teams make the tourney no problem, and possibly a 4th B1G team.


Last weekend this team again proved that they can beat anyone (and look solid doing so) and they can also lose to anyone. Part of me thinks, that's just hockey and part of the reason I love this game, but with this talent and the stomping they have put on some teams, I would expect more consistency.

Mann got the start both games, does that mean it's his position for what's left of the hockey season? I can't believe the regular season is already over. That's not enough hockey. What a strange and terrible year.

Now you know I wouldn't be rude and troll you WT but I do have to say I hope the lose to anyone is true next Sunday. First loss and my team can hang up their skates until next season.
Kind of sad I'm now rooting harder for our women's team.

With our inconsistency I still don't believe that we're in "no problem" but I do think that we're in. We have studs on our team, we have some terrific wins, and we have the fan following. Also, because this tournament will be seen predominantly on TV the "hatred of Michigan" factor comes into play. People will watch just to root against Michigan.

I have no inside info. but yes, the rest of the season is Mann's. I like Portillo but Mann is the man (ok that was dumb, please forgive me). Mann has been the clear-cut #1 all year but showing the great leader he is he decided to platoon with Portillo (at least that's my assumption). There's a reason he is wearing the "C" as a goalie.
 
Some bad firsts last night. Assuming what the announcers said last night was true- that was the first time we lost this season when scoring first, and the first time Minnesota won this season after being behind by 2.

Ugh.

The only glimmer of hope that I have is that after we lost a game we had a good lead in was one of the times we got two sweeps in a row. So IF we get into the tournament (which I'm far from confident that we will with that record) we have recovered from such a bad loss before.
 
Well, we are in. Lets see if we can do something with this. Tough bracket with North Dakota, but any bracket is a good bracket with the record we had.
 
It's been a long time since I've seen Michigan seeded in the Regional of Death. Usually you guys get the choice ones.

Would be awesome if we could take out not 1, but 2 NaCHo teams this weekend. We owe Duluth a payback for some Frozen Four games.
I'm not confident that we'll be able to...but it would be nice.

I'm torn. I know it has absolutely zero impact on the outcome of the game but my "playoff beard" really needs to go. I'm kinda planning on shaving it off next Tuesday at the latest. I also have a job interview next Friday so I have to shave anyway. But it'll be my luck they beat duluth and nodik but then I shave any they'll lose the National Semi-final. I haven't seen them play too much this year but duluth isn't as good this year, of course neither are we. nodik is nodik, I mean they're not like they have been either but they still are good. I can realistically see us beating duluth but then losing to nodik, of course beating duluth isn't a given.

I think you need to take one for the team and wait until Sunday to shave after we win the Regional. There's really no way to predict this weekend. If we play our best, we can beat anybody in the country. But we've rarely put together back-to-back great efforts in a weekend. Hopefully the tournament gets them over that hump. If Mann brings his best both games I think we might be headed to Pittsburgh.

It would be helpful if the D played a lot more focused. Not sure how they still get these lapses, but they are still there, and Mann can do little about it.
