Miami @ UNH 10/16/09

Re: Miami @ UNH 10/16/09

Thats more of the team we know. Miami dominated that period. UNH goal because Miami got lazy after going up 4. I won't be surprised if Foster gets pulled in the third.

A couple beautiful goals by Palmer and Camper on one timers. Campers second goal came after he lost control on the deek and it went five hole! I don't think UNH got more than 5 shots on goal that period, I could be mistaken but it didn't seem like it.

Miami seems to really enjoy playing on the big ice, they are using there team speed extremely well and winning the battles for the puck. Transition play has allowed for several odd man rushes. McKenzie really looks good out there. Still trying to get too cute with the puck at times instead of making the simple play, but Miami is just winning all facets right now.

Hey Steve. We were winning 1-0 when I tuned in. Ouch.

Yeah I know was hoping we would get the usual Miami result at the Whitt, but not this year I don't think at least not tonite.

The Cats have to be coming out here to play Miami some time soon (next season I hope?) Oxford is only about 75 min away from me.

I sorta would. I like him, but Umile's more typical approach is to punish poor play in the net -- and us -- by allowing it to continue. :D

UNH radio said that Reichard stopped 6 of 7 UNH shots that period. So you're close.

Re: Miami @ UNH 10/16/09

Wingles has a playmaker already tonight

Him and Cannone and even McKenzie have looked dominant tonight. Wingles should of had a Shorthanded goal but again McKenzie got too cute with some spinarama and couldn't get it to wingles on the backdoor.

JD- He shouldnt be that happy, Miami got lazy in the late part of the second. I know you have a 4 goal lead but you can't hang your goaltender out to dry when he isn't seeing that many shots.

Yea there isn't any sound on this webcast so I was guessing. He really hasn't been tested much tonight. But that third goal his team hung him out. Foster really hasn't played bad, the 6th goal was the only soft one. Miami is making some good plays.

Re: Miami @ UNH 10/16/09

Well the Pumpkin Ale and Stout were better than that period. Hope they have those when I move out to Indy. (the beer that is)

Exactly. You can't let up out there, especially on a Friday night. If UNH comes out and makes it a one goal game they take a lot of momentum into tomorrows contest. Blasi needs to make sure we don't take the foot off the pedal, but continue to play smart out there and not be too cute. Play our game, work the boards, grind it out, and pressure pressure pressure on D

Time for the Scotch filled 3rd period... The Cats have never lost when that occurs (from what I remember) :p :p
Perfect palliative.

Working on a Lvivske Porter myself. It mus be working, becaus the label now reads "(Greek pi-like character-O-P-T-E-P"

Game on, I might be glad I have this case of Sam's if UNH continues to get dominated by Miami here.

I agree, I will say one thing that I notice more this year is the defensemen are really getting involved in the play a lot more this season. But the forwards need to get back, they are providing a lot of pressure but not getting back. D need to know when to take chances, at this point they don't need to step up at the blueline, just close the gaps and keep everything outside.
