Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

Agree 100%. Given all the context of last night's ep....I thought that was when we were gonna find out. Nope.

Also, that intro with the spider.....GLM and I were 100% sure that was going to be the next "eyeball" (Season 2) teaser, where it wouldn't matter until a few eps later.
I knew what was going to happen with the cold opening as soon as it was over. I saw that the title was called "Dead Freight" and heard the train horn at the end of the opening, and put 2 and 2 together.

When I heard the train sound in the beginning, I knew there was going to be something with a train (didn't see the name of the episode) and that kid. Didn't expect that though...

I avoid all ads, ep summaries, guide listings, etc. I go into each episode cold. I want to know nothing.

It is kind of hard for me to not see the episode name when I have to go into Amazon and select the episode to buy in order to watch it. :p

That even though you could kinda guess what was gonna happen, they way they did was just so ****ing well done.

I was about 99.9% sure that the kid was going to witness it, but didn't expect the cold blooded murder aspect.

In your case, I understand. I used to read the summaries and such, and have found it is much more entertaining when you don't know ANYTHING. That's all.

I can't remember if this was posted upthread, but: has everyone seen the clip of Aaron Paul on The Price Is Right?

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

Hey, did you guys hear that the police are looking for some guy named Walter White in relation to meth manufacturing?

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

"F* you" Obvious, but still funny as all hell.
"I'm in the empire business." CLASSIC.

1. Dinner scene: so wonderfully awkward. Jesse aced that scene.
2. You CANNOT be SERIOUS with that cliffhanger! And this isn't even the half-season finale! Wow.
3. Options that Walt has?!
4. Skyler needs to go. She held strong against Marie overall, to her credit, but she's reallllllly shaky.
5. Holy friggin' insane escape from Walter. You knew he'd get free, since it was plastic zipties, it was a matter of how. Also, if all he needed was glass, why not take one of his lenses out of the frames? So simple he didn't think of it?

Options for Walt:

1. The classic "deal gone bad" scenario where they off the money deliverers after the transaction. This show is too smart for that, I think. Only way they would consider this would be with the ricin that Walt has.
2. Make a synthetic methlamine (or however you spell it). However, that would take time they don't have, and they would have done that in the first place instead of the risk of the robbery.
3. .......
4. Profit. ;)

AVClub's Donna Bowman thinks that the stuff on the TV about fake caviar (in the scene with Walt and Jesse taking a break at the mobile lab, right before Jesse turns the TV to the missing child news report) and part of the bugged discussion that Mike listens to Hank having (Miracle Whip vs. actual mayonaisse) is an indication that perhaps some sort of cheaper knock-off product is part of his solution with the new characters out of Phoenix.

One only has to imagine that these Phoenix guys are going to be who Walt needs that machine gun for in the season premiere cold open, right?

Re: Meth, I Hear You Callin': The Final Season of Breaking Bad

One minor quibble with Walt's McGyver-ish escape: Even if you could get the live wires to arc like that, wouldn't that blow a breaker somewhere?
