Just my nephew getting a bug at daycare

We asked my brother if any of his young ones were sick so we'd know for tomorrow.
"Nope but you're taking your life into your own hands around children between November and March"

like come on man. I get that but we're just trying to look out for our health as well. Last year they gave me a cold that chewed up like five days of my vacation for the yearend and no one was healthy enough to meet up for new years, which has always been my favorite family holiday. The first non-quarantine year I've missed in my entire life.

Yeah, unfortunately they get hit with a lot of stuff in the winter months. I feel like I’ve been perpetually coming down with something for months, and probably will until June or July when the seasonal allergies settle down for a few weeks.

This bug hit fast, my poor sister had no chance to shield. Kid gets sick at grandpas house in morning, by 5pm dad is sick, day later mom is sick

We think so.

oddly enough only people not sick so far are sister and myself. Years ago whatever genetic test my sister had done said she had something that gave her good resistance to noroviruses
