Merrimack College Warriors 2016-17

Re: Merrimack College Warriors 2016-17

Great series..gotta love the never give up attitude of both teams. That's two good results on the road in consecutive weeks - very encouraging.

We're definitely in the mix for home ice. 6 games remaining; Most likely take a loss at BC on friday, but after that we have UMASS, Maine x2 (at home), and UVM x2 (away). 4-2 in the last 6 games isn't unrealistic. Northeastern has a pretty easy schedule, but UNH and UCONN have a tough road ahead. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Love the way this team is playing right now.

Had't won there since Oct '97. Huge win. Delia was excellent. He is very quite in net, excellent position. Big line comes up BIG. Hampus with the hat trick and 4 points total. Winning the season series from both BU AND BC? Who saw that coming!

This is a terrific time to have them catch fire. Have not seen them play this well in a while!

It's been covered ad nauseum I'm sure but.. six o'clock puck drops are ridiculous. And then NESN shows what, Charlie Moore in prime time after the game? I thought the whole point was so they could show doubleheaders.

You'd think NESN might want to give their production staff some practice "down on the farm" on Bruins off nights too.

Such a dumb concession by Bertagna and NESN.

I'm not afraid to eat a little crow in the name of positivity. Went back and watched a good amount of the ASN broadcast, I have to particularly commend TC and the color guy, excellent analysis.

I agree about the start times. I believe NESN Plus usually has the second game.

My thoughts exactly. I remember sitting in Lawler against Sacred Heart thinking, this is going to be a tough year. At that point who would have seen this coming. This is pretty much as good as it gets.. great for the school, the alums, ect. Hard to believe we're still so low in the standings. This year honestly feels like 2 different seasons.

A win on Wednesday would really put us the driver seat. We seem to play better against "superior" competition, so I'm not sure what to expect on the road at UMASS. Wins against all these great teams won't matter if we can't get something out of Wednesday.

FYI, the game is on Tuesday. Yup, this is a game that 'Mack "should" win, but you could have said the same thing about BU and BC in their recent games against MC, and how did that work out for them? Cannot take the foot off the gas; this is the game in hand that you have vs. UConn and UNH, and you can jump into a tie for 7th with a win (UNH has the tiebreaker). That'd put you in 1st round home ice position with 4 games remaining.

You never know what will happen in hockey east, so I'd be ecstatic with anything out of UMASS away.. But you're right - hugely important game for seeding. 7/8th with 4 games remaining against Maine and Vermont would be ideal.

Dropping by to say congrats on the win at Conte. Long time coming... I guess the streak was bound to end sooner or later.

Saw that UMass Sr. Ray Pigozzi was suspended for tonight's game. Every little bit helps!
