we should at least avoid 11th now which means we won't get 5th or NU in the first round, which is a big plus. Even if we are on the road, I think we can beat vermont, UNH, UConn. But of course I would prefer to be home. Could play Vermont two weeks in a row potentially.

Soooo close to stealing a point! This team is pretty good at scoring EA goals, at least 4 that I can think of in recent games (2 last night, Lashyn against BC and Christie against UConn). A sweep next week gets them home ice as they would jump UVM.

I think they only need 3 points not even a sweep. Three points would tie them with Vermont but if they get three points and go 1-0-1 we would win tie breaker.

There may be a few thing Hockey East could do better. But you have to give them credit, the last weekend of the season is always full of huge implications.

I love that our guys will have something tangible to play for next weekend. Hope it lights a fire under them. I'm expecting the atmosphere to be pretty good at the Lawler between the home ice implications, fan fest, being on TV and the late start giving plenty of time to get properly lubricated.

Should be two good games this weekend. The spot the team is in is a little bit better than I thought, and I would love to see home ice. I am interested to see who gets the start in net both nights and what is on tap tonight at Fan Fest.

Student section should be nicely lubricated by 8:30 as well. Should be a blast.

I've had the day to collect my thoughts, and I'm pretty excited for this upcoming series. I think we stand as good a shot as any in the first round. Seems like Vogler has really seized the starting role and the offense is clicking. Should be entertaining, Wildcat fans always show up in force, though maybe the Thursday game will work to our advantage there.

Love this match up. Look at the game we lost. If you like corsi, shots were like 75-35 Mack.

Just got my tickets for this weekend. Game 1 and 2 so far. We will see about 3 but hoping it doesn't get there. That series with Maine a few years ago was so awesome. Hope the atmosphere is the same.

Agreed, hoping for a great atmosphere like 2011. But fearful it won't be. Students have showed up for games all year but they rarely make noise, and they leave early. I got my tickets at the box office today, and they said there are still lots of tickets available. Didn't the Maine series sell out in 3 days? These games might not even sellout. The 7-10 matchup just doesn't do it for MC fans I guess.

that is not good news especially because UNH fans can (and have in the past) taken over our building. What the hell happened? People were pumped for that Maine series. I know there was that losing streak but how can you not be excited with the way they have played down the stretch? That is sad to hear.

And I agree on our students. They might be the worst in the league. They show up, so that's good I guess (better than UMASS) but they don't do anything. "Let's go Merrimack" three claps and then they're done. Totally silent. Where are the big CHarlie Sheen heads? Even our students in 2011 were far better.

Hoping for a good showing from the team and the students though. It makes for a much better atmosphere.

LMAO I missed this. How can Dennehy say he doesn't know who his start should be? Coach, let me help you. Go into your locker room, tap the kid with "Vogler" on his stall and tell him to be ready to go on Thursday night. :D

Let's see, do we start the kid who has given up 1 goal in his last 2 games and basically is undefeated in last 4 starts if you take out Maine? Or the kid who has like an .800 save percentage since he got hurt? I heard speculation that he is still hurt by the way. Mike McMann mentioned that on one of his podcasts, that he wondered if Colin was still injured.

Student support will be big in numbers at 7 pm. But let's see at 8:30. Hopefully the Warrior fans come out in droves over the next 48 hours and support the team. Hard to see why they wouldn't.

That is what worries me. It was empty on Saturday by the third period in a BIG GAME. Kids nowadays, they just don't get it. Millennials.

Drove into Andover this morning. MC-UNH playoff posters are up in almost every shop or restaurant. I also got a discounted ticket offer from my son's Reading Little League program for the game. Hope fans are going to take advantage of this.
