Wait, when Cannata was being recruited, did York not already have Muse and Margolin (who may or may not have informed York that he was transferring by then) and Maxwell in the bag verbally?

Milner looks better than Cannata anyway so it worked out for both schools!

no, they wanted to bring him in when they giot back from frozen 4. he signed on while they were gone

it did work out for both schools and both goalies.

I would expect Da Costa back. I saw him yesterday and he wasn't the green color he was on Tuesday....

ok kids...so here we go....best of three at Agannis. How is everyone feeling about the series. First game on NESN @ 730 which will be great.

I hope Merrimack can have a good showing here in terms of fan support. Any word on if the school is sponsoring anything to get students down there. (not that it's a long ride or anything)

From what he said he chose MC because they wanted him to come right after USNPDT. BC wanted him to play another year or two of prep or junior hockey.
He also said that MC was the first school to show interest in him and was much more aggressive in recruiting him. Another factor was his friendship with John Heffernan who had already committed to MC.

BC never even had the chance to bring him in. Dennehy was smart and brought him in immediatly and the offer was done while BC was at Frozen Four. He had not even signed with NATL team at first meeting, that came up after Super 8 championship win vs Weymouth. he hopped on a plane at 6 am the next day and went to Ann Arbor. practiced with team and in a span of about 2 1/2 hours, let in about 3 or 4 goals. Blew them away and they gave him the slot the next day. That had them in a tough spot as it was 2nd year of program and they had 2 already. He had a great run there with huge wins, including big win vs Yale as a 17 year old in Tim Taylors first game back there after leaving school. Held off a 5-3 for final 2 minutes of game to beat them by a goal.

Him and Heffernan visited together.

It worked out great for both kids. JC needed to be at a program where he would be a difference maker. Not one where the goalie gets little credit of they win. At BC, if you win, your supposed to, look at the team. If they lose, they point the finger.

Muse wins a natl championship as a freshmen and still gets dissed on occasion

LETS GO MC!!!!!!!! Time to take out the hard hats and get back to work against BU....no more cupcakes like PC to deal with.

I think the only way MC wins this series is to take it to BU in game one and early on. If MC gets behind in the first two periods i think they're in trouble. I hope it doesn't happen that way but it's just my two cents. Can't wait to see it as it should be a really fun series.

so pumped for this weekends series... merrimack really needs to take game 1 friday night if they want to win this series. hopefully a few early goals. I really hope they dont take to many stupid penalties because that has been a big problem all year with this team.

Safe to say this is the biggest game for MC in 10+ years? Good luck and I'm rooting for the Warriors to make it to the Garden.
