That's a bad call. Wasn't knocked in by a high stick, it was knocked in off stick/bodies in front. Can't retroactively call played by high stick and disallow, only way to disallow goal by video review because of high stick is if it is the last offensive stick to touch I believe. Could be wrong.
Doesn't matter now though.![]()
f. A puck hit into the net by a high stick;
j. To determine if a goal was scored as the direct result of a hand
pass or high stick by an attacking player to a teammate, initiated
or completed within the goalkeeper’s privileged area;
His stick never touched the puck though. I even said "batter's a whiff!" because it was such a lame swing.
It was knocked down by Chiasson then Cohen touched the puck next. It wasn't knocked in off a high stick, but you can't play the puck with a high stick and be the next to touch the puck.
That is a basic rule.
It is, but it's not something you can call by video replay. The rules are strict with that. If they miss playing with a high stick live, it's missed. The puck was already coming down by the time Chiasson whiffed at it anyway. I'm watching the B2 feed too (same as Agganis scoreboard btw so Scarlet likely saw it if she's there), I couldn't see any change of direction at all.
It didn't need to change direction. He was high sticking the puck downward. And the puck is automatically dead if it is played with a high stick and all that takes to determine that is a discussion with the other refs.
I'm done arguing this. Its over, BU got its second goal.
No he didn't. I'm here at the game...
