Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

Let's go for the weekend sweep! I'm sure the coach had some things to say after Friday night's win... to build up to tonight's effort! Tighten things up on turnovers and odd man rushes... penalties... skating our game our way. Let's Go Red!

We have got to stop giving away the puck. Against a team with more talent, we would have given up all of a 3-0 lead and then some, if we could have even gotten to that point. Then again, we have always had the tendency to play to the opponent's level, and we did hold on.

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

Not sure if I will be able to listen tonight, but as always be here in spirit.

lets go red!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

As last nights lead shrunk, my Buffalo Bills fan instincts kicked in. I kept thinking to myself, well how they gonna find a way to tie or lose this one. While it wasnt a pretty win for sure, but a win is a win. Like I said to babo after the game, this team cant make anything easy on us can they.

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

Just a reminder that we'll bring you the women's game again on WRPI. (not me, I'll be on tonight, but two other broadcasters.)

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

We also will be out certainly for the early part of the game. All depends on what condition we are in as to when we can drive home;). From what I saw of last night-we certainly have talent. We get traffic in front of the net, we move the puck, we did some very good things. Merriam ahd a stretch where he made several extremely good saves in a couple of seconds. But, Jenny notice early that the defense was just not positioned well-too often we did not play th eoncoming rush at the blue line correctly. I counted 2 virtual breakaways and at least 4 two on one's that should just never happen. It is magnified when it happens while we are on a power play-but it seems to happen more as the game moves into the latter stages. If this was a 2 goal lead in the third-we most certqainly would not have held it.
Now for tonight-what do you change? Who is in goal? How tdo you tinker with the defense to cover the blue line confusion we showed against the rush? Saw some good stuff from Bubela and Bokenfohr last night. What changes up front? Tough decsions that I am sure glad I dont have to make. Go Red! and let us be up by 4 by the time we get home.:)

The last time you were out during a game, we were fine until you came back, and then we blew a lead. Stay out tonight. :p:D

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

it's being reported, in the Season Thread (#91), that CJ Lee will be a gametime decision. That would explain Tinordi & Burgderfer listed in the line sheet.

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

Good quality video coverage for free right now, for the womens game vs. RMU: www.rpitv.org. RPI leading 1-0 between second and third periods.

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

I think that this is the ideal game to give Kasdorf a start.
Agreed %100 RB. If you're going to carry 3 goalies, all with starting potential, it's imperative you find a way to get all of them some starts before the bulk of the league games begin.

I like to see Tinordi out there. However, he has struggled...his plus/minus must be deeply in the red.
