Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

Re: Mercyhurst @ RPI (Saturday, 11/17/12)

Obviously did not see any where near enough of this one but again-a win is a win. Will read back through the thread to see how we looked. Anyone want to comment on how Kasdorf looked overall? Was the defense any tighter than last night? Two wins in a row just seems so nice right now.

Kasdorf looked quite good.

He looked great, and had a lot of support from the D.

Thanks-will catch up and watch the video when it is posted. Fabulous time-had a great time out and come home to an RPI victory-what more can we ever ask for?

So happy after this weekend. Kasdorf looked great, he made a couple excellent saves. Hope he plays his heart out in practice and earns another start soon. It's very nice to feel confident in all three of our goalies.

Pep Band had a lot of fun with our Sieve Line this weekend during warmups - every men's game we head down to harass the goalie and the team between our first Hail and the pregame set. :D Mercyhurst did us the favor of having lots of ridiculous names, and responsive players. We got a smile yesterday from Strang and Stevens hit the boards near us with his stick, but today we got a wink from Strang and Johnson checked the boards in front us and promptly fell on his butt. :p They seemed to be good sports and I certainly hope they do well for the rest of the year. :)

Kazzy looked very, very good Doc. Sees & follows the puck nicely. Looks huge in net, giving the shooter very little. Nice stop on the breakaway but the shooter fanned on the rebound helping Kazzy out....thank you. The D played a nice game in front of him also. Tinordi & Miller were a wrecking crew out there. 2nd period was a bit of a slump but they picked it up in the 3rd. Some can nitpick on "this & that", but I was very pleased with the TEAM's overall game. Well done boys. 2 week break to work on some aspects of the game before PU & Q-Pac come to HFH.

Like the chant, S.E.T.H.....Seth, Seth, Seth (visualize J E T S Jets, Jets, Jets). Wish it would go a bit longer though. Over in Sect. 17 just when we realize it's going on it stops. Go Lonnnnnnnnger :)

Ah, the memories of Section 33 (although not with the band at the time, behind the penalty box). Messing with Dalhuisen of Q-Pac, Zolnierczyk from Brown and his "incident", but the best memory was the UNB game when they hadn't yet put up the plexiglass between 33 and the penalty box; the attendant promptly warned me and my buddy that he wasn't going to stop the players from picking a fight with us. We had a lot of fun with one guy, although he got a laugh or two when UNB scored a shorty, but we got a PPG with him in the box, so we were even.

Turk-I know we just have too many players to put everyone in all the time. But I just love watching the bigger boys hit. I love to win but i also love to see the splat made by someone when Luke C gets a shot at them and very few can stand up after Tinordi lays one on them. Perhaps they may not score as much as others-but we have Laliberte, Neal, Haggerty and others for that-and these bangers keep other teams looking up or over their shoulders a bit and I just think that is so important.

Strang just seemed excited someone knew his name-always funny how opposing goalies forget we can read their sweaters :P On a more serious note, when CJ got hurt on Friday and Mercyhurst skated off while he was still on the ice being looked at, Strang waited just outside the zamboni doors until he got up, then gave him stick taps as he was helped off the ice. Really nice gesture.
