Mercyhurst at Denver - Friday 2/5/10

Re: Mercyhurst at Denver - Friday 2/5/10

3 stars:
Maiani
Murray
Salazar--sentimental fave, but the MC goalie did a great job letting in only 4 goals on 40+ shots

Murray vastly improved tonight. There were about three times he was flopping around in the crease with no clue, but for the most part he played a solid game. He went a long way toward putting that torch job by UAA in his rearview.

No damage with your new Crown Royal?

To my face? No. To some innocent brain cells? Absolutely. I'm only in danger of doing something drastic when something bad happens, like giving up the GW to Bucky in the last couple of minutes. Otherwise, I'm a pussycat.

Hopefully the New Pios will take that into consideration in all future games.

Re: Mercyhurst at Denver - Friday 2/5/10

Gwoz - Adam was the best player out there tonight, very pleased with how he has improved and this will be a great confidence boost for him. Ready for a war tomorrow night against AF. Knows that they will hit any DU player as soon as they touch the puck. They ran DU out of their building two years ago and he benched many of the now seniors for the last 30 minutes of that game. They remember it well and want to get at least one win at AF during their careers. It is going to be loud and AF will play a very physical game, much moreso than tonight's game against MC.
