Re: Mcha 2010-11

HAHA thats was a funny cartoon XYZ.......I wish I had one for Told YA!!

Adrian dominated and its only because they are on a whole different skill level than the rest of the teams in the MCHA. As easy as Marian handled MSOE...Adrian handled Marian.
They have better puck control....better vision.....better everything. The 5-0 score tells it all.

CONGRATS BRAD FOGAL for his Harris Cup Shut Out!!

On to the NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Don't forget that Adrian needs to get its first ever NCAA playoff win before you can start talking championship.

Game could have gone either way. Fogal had good puck luck with some pucks, and Marion was really taking it to Adrian in the first and second period. Marion was well in the game up until that third goal scored, which lead to the wheels falling off a bit for the Sabers. Still a hell of a game today in Lenawee County.

Congrats are in order for MSOE coach Mark Ostapina and goaltender Cooner Toomey for being named MCHA Coach of the Year, and MCHA Player of the Year, respectively. Ostapina was the obvious choice, and although I thought it would be Jordan Keizer for POY, Toomey is a worthy choice.

Are u kidding this coach has no clue
Its about the players this coach did not let the players play

I watched parts of all three games this weekend and was really impressed with Adrian's defense. They did a great, great job of minimizing grade A scoring chances from the slot. Marian and Lawrence both seemed to be stuck on the perimeter in the offensive zone. Adrian was very much the best team this season and especially this weekend.

Re: Mcha 2010-11

Do they put out a press release that breaks down who gets on the first/second All-MCHA teams? It would be interesting to see who got on which team, and who were the players that tied for the last F and D position.

Wise certainly outcoached Ostapina on Saturday.
Marian were tenacious and wore down MSOE.
Marian came out with a similar game plan against Adrian but Bulldogs were ready.

Home ice turned out to be a great advantage to Adrian.
Coach had last change and used it very well.
The crowd was just awesome for both Adrian games and the players responded.

The MCHA office had no representation for the weekend events which I thought was poor. Terry Brand had his shortcomings, but he attended at least once during the regular season and always for the conference tournament.

I agree with you on the first part of your comment but I have to tell you that the league commissioner was there both days. I had a chance to talk with him on Saturday and he seemed very nice and told me how he got the job and what other leagues he is involved with. He was also there to present the awards after the championship game.

Looking forward to seeing the Dogs one more time at the Arrington Ice Arena.

My apologies.
He missed the awards dinner....and assumed he missed the games.

This is off the MCHA website ... But I don't think they have differentiated between first and second-team status in years.

They almost beat St Norbert last year so Im thinking this 1st game will be one they can win. Play like they played Marian and they will be one win closer!!

And SNC ALMOST beat Wick in the championship game last year. So if I use your logic, the Knights will be champs this year?
