May I have this dance?

Re: May I have this dance?

Miami is truly a case of a #1 ranking going straight to their head. Applauding your coach for getting tossed from a game, and his childish actions on the way off the ice? I would be seriously ashamed if our coach acted that way. And expect disciplinary action from within the University on top of whatever is handed down from the league. It's one thing to show emotion during a game. It's another to put on a childish display for the crowd.

Well i guess if you're a BG fan you should be so ashamed of how dirty your players played that night. One of the dirtiest showings of any team I've seen. Must be because they've only won 4 games. ;)

It's funny how you say BG was playing dirty. Considering most of the crap after the whistle started with 2 Miami players going after 1 BG player. Or would it be the multiple checks to the head, cross-checks, Vaive shadowing Shea around the ice trying to pick a fight, holding a player's leg when he tries to skate away, punches to the back of the head....please, enlighten me from the other side.

Vaive shadowing Shea around the ice trying to pick a fight

Trust me you want that to happen. Instant prop bets on whether or not Vaive could keep his balance while attempting to land a punch, I have faith in my man Justin but the majority of Miami fans would bet against me.

HAHAHA So true!

Unfortunately the only video is what has been posted. However, certain facts from the video can be seen if you are looking for them. For example, Grover, is going after a loose puck and looses an edge and hits the goalie. The puck must have been open because the whistle occurs after the contact with the goalie.

#'s 5 and 6 of Miami clearly jump on Grover.

Miami #6 clearly stands up in the middle of the post whistle festivities and does a Lambau leap to a BG players head, right in front of Hall the referee.

Grover was about to enter the penalty box when someone #17 ( i believe) yells at Grover and Grover turns to answer when he gets blasted from a cowardly Miami player.

This is an unfortunate event in college hockey.

The questions I have is how does #6 from Miami get D player of the week after the stunt he pulled in the BG game? He should have never been able to return to play in the third period to earn the points that pushed him over the top for Dman player of the week, and the CCHA officials should have reviewed and considered this event before passing out POW awards.

The other question I have is how does Miami end up with a 7 minute PP after the post whistle ruckus?

You forgot that your Saintly Grover and another BGSTD goon were both going after Miami's #17 Miele at the same time in that fight. That is why "#6 Lambeau Leaped". Too bad that the video didn't show later theatrics, including the blatant kneeing incident. Glad this series is over with how much they were trying to injure Miami players out there.

Cut Wideman a break he is about 5'9 how else could he bring someone down?

But seriously an unfortunate event in college hockey is a little extreme. Hall and Sanborn never had control of that game, with BG frustrated over a 6-1 game and Miami clearly still on an emotional roller coaster it just happened. There were unnecessary shots taken by both teams in that game.

If you can sincerely tell me that BG was not trying to hurt Riley Smith when they took that shot at his knee in the third you are delusional.

Well once again your facts are a little fuzzy. Saintly Grover is underneath the ref and #5 of Miami. Although it does look like #17 of Miami is dealing with two guys and that is why the Miami goalie jumps in and so does #6 of Miami. "BGSTD" that is real mature.. I am glad that it is over and unfortunately not forgotten.

His height should not really matter. I am not upset that he jumped on the guy, I am really trying to make a point that he did not even receive a minor penalty for that leap. He was very involved in the whole incident and never received a minor penalty. Maybe he was too short for Hall to notice him? Not sure but just because he had the right intentions does not mean he is exempt from a penalty. Just like when Grover hit the Miami goalie, at that point his intention may have been to avoid the goalie, however he made contact and therefore he should receive a penalty.

First of all...in no way that puck was loose and the whistle did in fact blow before the goalie was hit. Also, this was not the only time during the series where our goalies were hit after the whistle. I recall in the first game with Reichard in net, puck covered, whistle blew, BG players slashing at Reichard multiple times.

Secondly, if you hit our goalie that blatantly you should expect to get jumped by members of the other team. You don't hit the goalie and not expect to have some consequences.

Thirdly, Wideman's (#6) "Lambeau Leap" occurred after two of your players were attacking Miele (#17), one of our smallest guys. I know Miele is a scrapper but was it really necessary to have two guys on him. This is why Knapp got involved as well.

Yes, I admit Hirschfeld's (#17) hit was unnecessary but if your guy had just went in the box the first 100 times he was told to go this would have never happened.

And finally, you have to be kidding about Wideman earning CCHA Honors for Defenseman of the Week. Not only does he play great defense he added 2 goals and 2 assists on the weekend. Who cares when they occured.

This holding the players leg so he couldn't get away. Your guy was standing on top of our guy so he couldn't get up. After multiple seconds of your guy straddling ours, our guy finally took it into his own hands to get up grabbing your guys leg and taking him down. Your guy made no action of trying to skate away.

Glad to see sarcasm is not lost on you.

I think you missed on the obvious sarcasm in his post. He was teasing Wideman for being a giant midget. (I can say that since i'm 5'-9" too) :D

No you're funny (or in denial) for apparently denying that your team did anything wrong. Were we at the same game?

Do you know why the fight was started? Oh yeah because your players kept taking out our goalie (both nights). You're lucky your players didn't get it any more. You should know that if you actually watch hockey. Anyone who tries to mess with anyone's goalie is going to get punched in the face...regardless the team.

And p.s. Vaive won't do anything that isn't deserved. Vaive is a clean hitter and rarely do you see Vaive do something that isn't deserving. Your players started this entire ordeal. You say Vaive was holding some guys leg, but what was he doing to Vaive earlier in the game? oh yeah...holding his stick, sitting on top of him. And if Vaive was the frist one that did something it's probably because your shortest dude was sh*t talking to Vaive. Yeah...what do you think is going to happen after that? Your players sh*t talk our biggest player he's going to get taught a lesson.

I'm sorry your team stinks that badly, but your coach needs to learn to control his players, and I have a feeling that Rico was glad that this happened.

Maybe before you say something...you should examine your teams play yourself.
