Mariucci Classic 12/31-1/1 (Minnesota, Union, Bemidji State, Ferris State)

Tonight's game between FSU and the Gophers could prove to be a low scoring defensive game and a goaltenders battle. FSU has an outstanding defense, and a very good 2.05 GAA. Both Patterson and Nagle are having good seasons in net so far. Special teams will most likely play a significant role in determining who comes out on top. The Gophers PP, as bad as it's been, is statistically better than Ferris State, but FSU's PK is light years ahead of the Gophers.

Who won last night's game? Surely the gophers couldn't lose to Union in their own building in their own tournament.

483 people in attendance for the afternoon game yesterday, wow that must have looked pretty bad in a 10,000 seat arena.

Having only 483 people attend the tournament championship game is a disgrace to the Mariucci name and a disgrace to the Twin Cities. Its laughable.

Perhaps next year you could relocate the Mariucci Classic to Grand Forks, ND where you could get a better turnout.:p
