March Madness 2012

Re: March Madness 2012

Got my picks in for my pool. I did 2 brackets - one for what I think will happen (UNC - didn't want to pick Kentucky), and one for what I wish would happen (Marquette-Wisconsin final ;)). Our formula is geared to give extra points for upsets, so we'll see how it goes. I got SDSU in the random pool.

NCAAW: Had a chance to see this women's player from Delaware, Elena Delle Donne, when they played near me this year. If they play on TV, take a few minutes and watch her play. I find I don't care the gender or the sport or the level, if somebody is an outstanding talent, it is fun to watch.

I'll get my picks in on this bracket tonight.

Vermont defeats Lamar. No word as to whether Pat Knight is going to kick his seniors off the podium in the post-game presser.

Re: March Madness 2012

I don't know if this still works, but Coke Zero had a promotion where you could get March Madness On Demand for free instead of paying the $3.99.

You text 0SCHOOL or 0NICKNAME (all caps) to 2653 and you'll get a code back. For example, I did 0SPARTANS and it texted me back a code with instructions.

Like I said, I don't know if this promotion still works or not, but it's worth a try.

If you pay for cable, you can get it for free. Just have to validate it.

Re: March Madness 2012

Surely somebody has put a group up on ESPN? I can't be bothered to do brackets on Yahoo.
You must not have noticed how most of the people on here loathe ESPN, so no, I doubt anyone has bothered to start a group associated with the **********s from Bristol.

Re: March Madness 2012

I don't like the commercials locking me in anytime I switch a game or any time the game I'm watching has a TV timeout. My TV doesn't lock me into advertisements. I don't mind the coke zero 30 second commercial for switching games as much, but the fact that it makes you watch the whole TV timeout is ridiculous.

Re: March Madness 2012

How the hell do I login with my cable info and not pay?

So apparently I log in and wathc via Xfinity, though if I want the CBS game it sends me to the CBS site, though if I want the TBS/TNT/TruTV game from there it won't send me back to Comcast so I have to enter it manually.

To be fair, your TV costs money for 3 of the channels.

I view it as a challenge to get over to the computer once the CBS music for a timeout starts.

Re: March Madness 2012

Right now, Syracuse should be the first #1 seed ever to lose to a 16. What a load of officiating garbage.
