Maine vs. UNH: Old Ties Die Hard

Re: Maine vs. UNH: Old Ties Die Hard

On the UNH recruiting thread it has been reported that Souza has been recruiting in western Canada . Assuming he has been telling prospective players that he is the next head coach, it is hard to imagine he won't be. I suspect the announcers were not up to date on the 3 year UNH coaching saga, nothing more.

Maine's hockey announcers are only marginally up to date with Maine hockey

Re: Maine vs. UNH: Old Ties Die Hard

Well....here we are at the end of the 2nd period of game 2, Maine up 2-1. Unless I am mistaken, UNH is winless this season when behind after two periods.

Is this the 11th hour of the UNH season and Coach Umile's 28-year career???

Cueing up AC-DC's "He11's Bells".........

At least Cats getting some SOG in third.

Not if Merrimack wins. BC plays lowest seed (they reseed after each round).

Isn’t Maine guaranteed to draw Providence, since Maine is the highest seed playing this weekend and PC is the lowest seed who doesn’t have an opponent yet?

The only series that's locked in is BU vs UConn (4 vs 5). Otherwise it's 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7 and 3 vs 6. This weekend was just to eliminate three teams to get down to 8.

Now that UMaine has won, I believe you are correct.

Congrats to the UMaine-iacs, wishing you folks all the best going forwards this offseason.

UMass and Vermont still have one more game in the best of three.

You're right. I jumped the gun; HOWEVER, it doesn't affect Maine, because the winner of that series is locked into the 7th seed and plays Northeastern.
