You think that a school that has the ballz or lack of brains to fire their coach on a moments notice doesnt have the wherewithall to hire a Jimmay? Besides, I think Unc would be a flat chested brunette :D

I'm in favor of a nat'l search have said so all along. I was in favor of it in 2002 for a reason and the same reason exists now. How do you know who might want the job if you don't open it up and see who applies. I liked Bob as a player and if the story about skating the team at 3am is true my guess is I'd like him as a coach but I still want the search

He wouldnt't have set around for 2 weeks "stunned and shocked" that no one called him.

Seems to have been handed to Corkum.

This whole process has been effed. Jimmy, Corkum, Pellerin, anyone else should have been interviewed in the time this "month-long intensive review" was taking place, and a new coach should have been named already. Who knows if the was the best for the hjob, but if Denver hires him because Abbott has been dragging his azz cause no one wants to take any responsibility for doing their job and making the hard choices, then we'll never know.

That remains to be seen but you might be right
For years you've been saying that everything the team has done right must have been Bobs influence, now you don't like him or what?

I think he'd be a definite improvement. I think Jimmy might be just as good, or even better. But I think he'd do a lot more for the energy, excitement, and enthusiasm for Maine hockey than Corkum would at this point. You can't deny that Corkum has been doing a lot of the recruiting, recruiting that everyone believes has been subpar.

But I think Jimmy with Corkum as an assistant would be the best of both worlds.

Yep, perfect tandem if they can get along. I would endorse that pair and put my seal of approval on it right now with no further beetching for at least 5 years :D

Its tough to know about the recruiting when you have a boss that supposed to seal the deal but from the sounds of it didn't have a great reputation? I'm not sold on anyone as I don't know who they are looking at?

Channel 7 just ran a feature story with Corkum, and unless I misinterpreted the news, I think they said the players signed a petition saying that they wanted Corkum to be the new head coach. What the players think should factor into this too.

Players should be allowed to provide input, but I wouldn't base the decision on them in any serious way. They'll be gone in a couple years. The coach won't (unless something goes badly wrong)
