Yeah, but that was with Walsh recruits........not Whitehead recruits.

By the way........you were right about Arnold! I can admit it when I'm wrong.:o;)

Going off corkum's comments, did whitehead even want him as an assistant? Or was that forced on him?

WCSH reporting Denver has offered coaching job to Jim Montgomery.

Let's hope. If we have a five or 6 year run like we did the last time they did this it would be amazing. Some of the most fun hockey at Maine ever. Frozen 4's, 2 nayl champ GMs, triple or Hockey East winners , huge comebacks in NCAA. Some amazing streaks and fun first 5 years

I hope regardless of what happens today we're all on the same page at the end of it. Either Jimmy or Bob will be a great coach and bring back the excitement that has been missing the last seven or eight years.

I hope you're right that the search committee has already started working, despite the lack of any public announcement.

Even if I'm Corkum, I don't want to just be announced as the next coach. The lack of a public search would undermine the legitimacy of *whoever* gets named coach. Process matters.

There was no public announcement. They began Tuesday.

Denver U. did not name interim hockey coach. Montgomery is their first choice. Denver offered to beat Maine to it. Last coach made mid 300k

Goldberg reports that Jim has accepted the job at Denver, is working on details of contract. No official word or speculation from any other source. If he's wrong, Goldberg is going to have a whole omelet on his face

As an outsider, it's becoming more apparent that corkum was always gonna be whitehead's replacement.
