What has this administration done lately to show that they give a crap about wins and losses? So, BU got their man, and will likely be at the top of HE for a long time to come.
When do we get ours? You stay in place, you end up falling behind. And in case no one's noticed, there ain't much further behind we can fall.

Oh sure there is. With 11 teams next season we can fall 3 more places, not to mention morale, attendance, $$ etc etc. Don't underestimate the depths of which Timmay can bury this program. So, BU got their man, and will likely be at the top of HE for a long time to come.

TIMMAY been fired yet?
A coworker today at lunch was asking an intern from UMaine whether the rumor he heard just last night was true that Whitehead had been relieved of his coaching duties already. Apparently there's rumors circulating that are quite widespread that it's already a done deal, although an announcement certainly hasn't made things official yet.
And what did the intern say? I could ask if the moon is made of bleu cheese...A coworker today at lunch was asking an intern from UMaine whether the rumor he heard just last night was true that Whitehead had been relieved of his coaching duties already. I'll do it for 60K. I could win 11 games, just by saying , "Bobby, they're all yours" and sit in the locker room eating fried chicken and playing video games.
Actually, I bet I'd win more.

Where there's smoke...I've said it quite a few times, but I really can't see why they would bring him back. People can run out the $190K argument but I don't by it.
My sources (and before any Wisenheimers jump in - no TW is not a source) have not heard a peep. I would have expected people on campus to have heard it. When/if it happens it isn't going to stay quiet for very long.
I said a long time ago that it would be addition by subtraction. But the U doesn't have anyone smart enough to figure that out apparently. The math is quite simple. New coach = 1000 more fans in the seats at home games. Avg spent per fan $50 (probably more but we'll go with this) = $50,000 increased revenue per home game $50,000 x 16 home games = $800,000 So let's be real conservative and cut that to $500,000. $500,000 -$190,000 = $310,000 NET GAIN. They could fly to Notre Dame 5 times next year. I don't get how they could be so stupid not to see this.
I assure you, the accounting professors have been looking at this as "consultants" and acting as actuarials to look at the short and long-term results and how long they can depreciate the buyout...

Where is it set in stone that the minute Whitehead is out it will be 1,000 more fans in seats? You are making assumptions.
It is an assumption, however, there are alot of people that have posted they are giving up their season tix, have given up their tix, don't go to games anymore etc. If/when he goes those same people have said they'll come back. I'm sure there are alot more who aren't on this forum that feel the same way. So yes it's an assumption, but I feel it's an accurate one. Maybe not 1000, maybe 800, maybe 900. Point is there will be more fans in the seats = more revenue.Where is it set in stone that the minute Whitehead is out it will be 1,000 more fans in seats? You are making assumptions.
