With 2 d-men coming in as recruits(Renouf-Schurhamer)...and the dropping of Sam Wolfe(shop-lifting a couple months ago)...could Maine be looking for one more d-man to go into next seasons mix...(current roster:O'Conner-Rutt-Hutton-Williams-Riley...they have Norman listed as a d-man,but wouldn't he be better off as a forward..?) Any thoughts..?
As long as he's also a puck-lugging d-man who can go from one end to another....!Could use a right handed d-man as they will have 7 lefties and one righty. Imagine it would be a recruited walk-on. How 'bout late blooming 20 year old who is 6'3"?

who was the last?
Prestin Ryan?
Mangene when he played D?
I would say that Ryan was the LAST TRUE puck-lugging d-man for Maine.who was the last?

Will O'Neill didn't lug the puck? Dimmen? Those guys were pretty good in the offensive zone--certainly better than Prestin though he was far superior physically and defensively---I don't know if that qualifies as lugging.

Defenseman/Goaltenders/and gritty players all go down after you see them for a few games/half the season or if lucky one full season, then its called Whitehead Hockey...you go from hopeful and should be a great addition to what ever happen come there Junior/Senior seasons....but then thats OLD NEW's.

Don't remember much of Prestin on the PP like those other 2 guys, and Tyler.
No...but you have to say there are alot of players that came in and you really felt good about them...to progress from Yr.1 to their 3rd and 4th seasons, only to see them stiffled, stopped from playing their game or change postions or just wonder what their roles are on the team from game to game, some of them mind you...but overall you didn't see the best or how they improved under TW.(imo).Is that why Joey Diamond stopped being a gritty player in his junior and senior years?
