Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 - Red White Bleeding Blue...

i thought that was interesting as well...

i checked on musil's twitter and both of their elitehockeyprospects pages and there's nothing that indicates they aren't coming.

at first i thought the point might have been about adding size, but he mentions pecararo too...wonder what changed?

in any event bringing in those two players would have caused a lot of healthy scratches, and it's likely that gendron wants to have the classes balanced a little bit more...
Based on his age I would think Musil would be arriving next season. He turns 21 in August.

Did you expect them to?

not at all, but they (hutton more than shore) were in consideration if only because of the popularity contest/fan voting segment...

and not that it would have changed the fact that gaudreau is going to win it in a runaway....

Both had good seasons but neither are complete players at this point. Maybe Gaudreau isn't either but he scores enough to make up for it

Guess PC wasn't as good as we thought, that makes the end of season losses sting even more

Gillies let in a couple of softies and a deflection of a defenseman's skate. I was surprised by the outcome. PC knew that they were in and NH was the hungrier team. I still think that PC is better, just wasn't their day.

PC isn't a lock yet. Some crazy things can still happen today that would not get them in the tournament.

PC is out with this scenario.

Out if Colgate, Ohio State, New Hampshire, and Mankato all win

?? Currently ranked 10 in Pairwise. No way 6 teams can go from outside the 16 and displace #10?

Quinnipiac will ALWAYS be there for Hockey East if Notre Dame bolts. They would join HE in a heartbeat.[/QUOTE]

Quinnipiac is very happy in the ECAC. They have NO interest in joining Hockey East.

Under QUAlum's scenario, PC drops from #10 to a tie for #13, but only the top 12 make the tournament, because four teams with lower rankings (Denver, Ohio State, UNH, and Robert Morris) make it by winning their conference championships.

Jimmy seems to be doing ok in Denver. Course, he had a lot more to play with.

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 - Red White Bleeding Blue...

I'm just looking forward to the fire Whistlin' Dick thread if/when UHN loses tonight.

PC has a good but not great team, none the less they were better then Maine this season...they earned there wins vs Maine. There in the top 4 in Hockey East and are in the Top 10-12 in the Nat. picture.
