I'm glad to see that Campbell had a good game too. He had a great pass to Anthoine in the third too after making a nice move to get by a defender that led to a great scoring chance.

Lets hope they play Exhibition games next season at the start of the season...and if they are going to play a few Exhibition games...play the US Development Team @ Orono...not a big fan of Exhibition hockey mid-week and 3/4 into the season.(imo).

Hopefully they only have one exhibition game going forward. I really wish they would have just played two fewer games this year.

Can't for the life of me figure-out why Maine would schedule a meaningless game vs. UNB at this point of the season, especially when it means short-rest going into a crucial weekend series vs. UHN.

UNB always provides a test, but one that would be taken much more usefully before the real season begins, not during it.

My guess is they couldn't get anyone to play up there for a midweek game and they would have gone lime 60 days with just one home game.

The Varsity Reds were a good team. UNB penalties allowed Maine back into the game, including the game winner 19 seconds into OT. Each team had three unanswered goals before the OT. Higgins injury appeared to be leg related.

I bet if you asked the kids on the end of the bench that got an opportunity to play they would disagree.

I do see your point, however by the sounds of it they could use the work. What's wrong with Marty? Maybe fatigue since this is the 1st season where he's basically played every game??? I hope Higgins is Ok. Maine cannot afford ANY injuries.

Red has said he scheduled the games because of that long gap between home games. There will be another 20-day lap between home games after playing unh on Saturday before playing Merrimack on Friday Feb. 14. Even money says that Red will not let it happen again.

So the kids on the end of the bench are more important than the team as a whole?

Jeezz Drew, don't you remember this is an everybody gets a trophy, everyone wins society now. There are no winners and losers, that wouldn't be fair.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:.....puke

But that shouldn't matter, unless money is the over-riding factor. Which it probably is. Need that home game income.

It's not like they're going that stretch without playing any games. And right in the heart of their conference schedule, to boot.
