Interesting possibility. He operates a goaltending clinic/camp called DreamCatcher's Hockey. He and Coach Standbrook have been the two main coaches at the clinic the past few years during the summer. He was still playing in Europe last winter, and I believe he is heading back there this winter. He played in the Maine Amateur (Golf) this summer and resides about an hour southwest of Orono while not in Europe.[/QUO

He has expressed interest in being the goalie coach at Maine but you can’t feed a wife and two children on that salary. He would have to land something else too.

Correct me,but...you can have only 3 paid Staff...Head Coach/2 Assistant Coaches...if there's a Goaltending Coach then he most likely would be a Volunteer Coach and not paid.

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

Yes. That is correct. A lot of goalie coaches run camps/schools and are the volunteer assistant to kind of make a name for themselves. Geragosian (BU), McNiff (PC) and Meyers (QU) are examples of this. Others are younger assistants hoping to eventually get into game as a paid assistant (Example: former BU goalie Jason Tapp went from volunteer to full-time paid asst at Union). Others like Merrimack goalie coach Jim Healy just want to give back to the game and stay involved.

Man, ole Whitehead really missed the mark in his tenure. How difficult can it be to celebrate the people who put Maine hockey on the map. I dont wanna call him a dope, but what a dope.

Whitehead wanted to make it HIS program........how'd that work out for him?

What do the quotes in post #767 have to do with Maine hockey, especially the offensive one by the Texas State Representative?

Those quotes are part of my signature, not the content of my posts. The content of post #767 was that I had seen that single game tickets went on sale Monday, September 9, but I don't remember where I saw that and can't find it online now.

Absolutely nothing. They have nothing at all to do with hockey, let alone college hockey. They serve to give the user more space on your screen, thereby increasing his/her pathetic self-importance. S/he hasn't embraced the fact that removing all the "quotes" in the section would reduce each quote to one line, making it so much more manageable for the rest of us.

It's a slippery slope when curtailing free speech in any form, but part of free speech is the right to be critical of others' choice of concerns in a forum like this that is designated specifically for college hockey.

Although this is a forum for college hockey, the signature space does allow some personalization, and in this case it is also a nice reminder that there are other things to feel passionate about other than sports regardless of whether or not you agree with the viewpoints expressed or the style of delivery on the issues a user is particularly passionate about.

Is there a way to hide others' signatures in a setting somewhere so that if you want you can choose to ignore everything but the specific comment in the post that is made?

I didn't even bother read them........until you made a big deal of it.

Who was at Alumni Weekend?
any updates?

EXACTLY ONE player who played for Timmy and not for Shaun showed up (Deschamps), the rest all played for Shaun (and Semler... who also showed up).
the alumni game was 4-on4, and no admission was charged.
Jacques Rodrigue showed off his stickhandling skills and actually scored on a deke-out-the-goalie backahnder right in the crease after walkign in from the high slot... just like we all remember him in his playing days.... he scored again on a nifty little snap shot from a faceoff circle... just like we remember him doing
