Sounds like a lot of fun. Who's the beneficiary of this game?

Got a link to the event? The Bruins Alumni schedule hasn't been updated in a while...

Just changed my seats, can't see one corner that well but they are far more comfortable

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

Way more unusual. We have played OOC games against BU, UHN and Lowell in the past, and have two scheduled vs UHN each of the next two seasons.

In 91-92 we played in three tournaments and 92-93 we played in four. Back then we hosted the Dexter Classic which was replaced by Maine co-hosting the Florida Tournament.

So, multiple tournaments have happened in the past, too. I just don't see Maine skipping a tournament because it is the second of a season (or third in this case, counting Florida). What is Maine protecting, its two games against New Brunswick? A weekend with AIC?

Those were holiday tournaments, not two in three weeks to open the season. It would allow Maine to get extra pub in two separate seasons. And yes, Maine would prefer the extra home dates. Hopefully Red will have the team positioned to upgrade the schedule - although it isn't unheard of for a team to schedule some cupcakes at home.

Still nothing about it on the Colisse site.

SOME cupcakes? Artists rendering of Maine's entire home non-conference schedule:

So there are chairbacks available without donating a zillion dollars?

Yes, there have been for years. Dad has a set of 4 down in the corner. As walrus said, hard to see one corner but I like the seats a lot actually.

Detroit plays twice in October at TD Garden.. I hope that a lot of Maine Fans travel to watch the games... I went on the Bruins website today and single game tickets don't go on sale until September 6th.. Anyone going to the Alumni game at the alfond on Sunday?

I confirmed it with Javier Gorritti this afternoon. Strange that there's no publicity for it yet though. This sounds like an awesome night.

I got 2. There were 2 seats, dead center Section NN, on aisle row 5, 1st row above chairbacks, I was going to take them but the wife wanted chairback. As far as the view goes those were awesome seats

I've heard Alfie Michaud as a possibility for perhaps next season, but other than that...

Interesting possibility. He operates a goaltending clinic/camp called DreamCatcher's Hockey. He and Coach Standbrook have been the two main coaches at the clinic the past few years during the summer. He was still playing in Europe last winter, and I believe he is heading back there this winter. He played in the Maine Amateur (Golf) this summer and resides about an hour southwest of Orono while not in Europe.
