For resident tuition at Maine?
No, he wants to be a commercial pilot, Embry Riddle in Florida. I'm not convinced the debt is worth it but its all he has ever wanted to do. He has gotten over 20,000 in scholarship money total but its still not close.

It's worth it Wally. He has a dream and a plan. And knows what he wants to do after school. And eventually comm pilots make great $$. Be proud, he's waaayyyy ahead of most kids his age in his approach and thinking.

,Thanks he's a smart kid, got his private pilots license at 17 . Took every AP class he could and will start college with 21 credits

I think the advantage would be if your team loses in the semis you only need to use one day off max.

who knows... i go every year regardless who is in it, so i am not looking to bail out after the semis... you're right though, it could end up encouraging folks to dump their tickets to the final if their team loses in the semis which seems like something the ncaa would want to avoid....

i personally prefer it to stay the way it is....

Wally - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, eh? Must have one smart Momma! :D

Has he looked into North Dakota? They have an excellent aeronautical school and I hear the hockey isn't too shabby either.

Lee Goldberg has good sources. He announced the hiring of Leach almost 3 weeks ago. I guess no NHL jobs came his way.

He was accepted at UND also but we made the mistake of going to visit Embry Riddle last year when we were in Tampa for the Frozen Four:D

Well, if a young 'un had the inclination to actually work, one can make a very nice living by learning a trade. Vocational high school plus on the job training. There will always be a job for plumbers, electricians, builders, specialty trades, etc, etc. Get paid for working while you learn, with zero college debt.

Well, except when the banksters destroy the economy from their gambling. See: October, 2008.
