Any one notice that Derek Arnold scored again on Maine :) Got to love Timmays ability to judge talent

Man this thread is like a cockroach!

The feature that automatically closes threads at 1000 posts was among things disabled by the new update. The thread will close next time the admins close a bunch of 1000+ post threads, which I predict will be around 4pm today.

I predicted it before going over to the game. My bro is a (new) season ticket holder and asked what to expect from UML. "Arnold will score a goal" was my response. So Arnold gets the first UML goal then an assist. I can't help but think the kid woulda looked good in the blue and white, but numb-nuts saw to it otherwise.

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

Rutt's penalty was a pointless Joey-moment, and could easily have been a 5-minute major; the game could've been lost right there. I was so happy to see him benched after that one. (As SW once said to a player within my earshot: "Either you'll learn, or you won't play.")

Jake's brain-spasm aside, what an effort by Maine. As Wally said, the ice was definitely tilted for a span, but Marty bailed them out then, and the Bears got their game back in time to take it home.

I don't attend/watch a Maine game anymore while expecting them to eventually screw the pooch... What a big-time improvement over last year in that regard. This team plays as though they expect to win, and that's very refreshing to see.

Looks like Red will be the coach to teach Rutt the difference between good and bad penalties. The player has to be more disciplined and can't keep hurting the team.
Would have been very interesting if Red had gotten to coach Joey Diamond. Don't think he would have become all time penalty leader under Red.
