Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

I'm growing tired of Rutt. He's the one kid that I don't think is buying into Red's system/attitude/philosophy. IMO

Go finish the night with your girl. This game is over.

Too bad, Maine remains 0 for, on the road. This team has a long way to go before being back in the national picture.

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

Glad all games with VT are over...zzzzzzz, freakin boring, defense first hockey sucks.

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

Maine playing without discipline led to two PP goals by Vermont in the first few seconds of the pp. Maine needs to control their emotions. Maine 0-4 on the power pp.:o

That's a tough weekend to swallow going to be interesting to see if these road struggles continue into 2014, they have to figure it out before the Boston trips.

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

Maine's got to figure out how to bring that commitment and focus they have at home to their away games. It has to be harder, as they're not in their own beds, following their set routines, lots more distractions and other things you can't control when you're on the road. It's a learning process, just like everything else they've been doing this season.

Your not alone on that thought...quite a few at the rink have had grumblings on Rutt going back to last year.

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

Win a couple and people think they are going to be a real good team, its the same team as last year with a couple of new freshman. The past few years Maine can make goalies look like Ken Dryden, they hit everything but net, that trend continues. Team still needs offense. Lets face it, Rutt can't keep up

Yes,they hit the post I think 3 times last night and as far as Rutt...he seems to get turn around and beaten by the wingers a lot after he faces them at the Blueline.

Re: Maine Hockey '13-14: Are you Red-E?

Well there's no doubt Red has some work to do. Didn't see the first 2 periods but would have assumed their compete level would have been higher after losing the previous night .. Sure VT's concentration on D first makes it tough to score, but ugly goals work as well as pretty ones. Guess they practiced hitting the posts and crossbars all night.
