He played high school hockey at Catholic Memorial in West Roxbury, Ma. He 'll be a 20 year old this year and played for the Cape Cod Whalers a year ago. Now playing at Dexter Prep. 14 points. 5 goals 9 assists.Anyone know anything about Kevin hock? Just committed

He only played at CM one year and has been at Dexter since. He sounds to me like someone with talent but hasn't really developed as much as some had hoped. I would assume he won't come until 2017.
Doesn't sound like the next coming of paul kariyaHe played high school hockey at Catholic Memorial in West Roxbury, Ma. He 'll be a 20 year old this year and played for the Cape Cod Whalers a year ago. Now playing at Dexter Prep. 14 points. 5 goals 9 assists.
A trashcan could commit to Maine and you would say it has talent and be happy with the commitment.
Where in my post did I say I was happy with it? I doubt he is getting any money and probably won't make much of a difference.
Hock and Doherty are very good additions!
Maine won more than one championship and the last time I checked Kariya played one and one half seasons.
Takes more than one season to get your players in and develop them.
So you think the AD should extend reds contract?
Interesting, not sure I see it that way but he either has to get extended or cut loose after this season. I doubt they cut him loose and pay out the final year so I'm guessing a 2 year deal. I think this years frosh are his first real class. Robbins, Michel and Gibson are looking ok. I'd say Robbins is going to be good before its over. So its up to the incoming class next year to make a real difference. Seems like it might if Rob can handle the goaltending? Not sure on that.
Hockey knowledge is the easy part of coaching
Teaching players to believe . Teaching players to enjoy the hard work. Teaching players to have confidence ( which comes with successes). Teaching every player what their role was and most important to accept that role but always giving the player hope to improve. Shawn had that gift. No good player can accept not being in the line up. Shawn always gave the the players hope that their chance was just around the corner if they could make an improvement or he cut the tie. This is why Tim struggled. X and Os Tim was as good as anyone much better then most, but didn't have the player respect because of poor communication.
You can't coach with fear.
We need a fresh start. How many of the current players enjoying going to practice each day? Is anyone having fun?
Winning is a habit and so is losing.
Tremendous post.
There's a big difference where he is now compared to Div.1 Hockey...granted he's getting results.Yes, good post. I will take exception with one point. Tim's current record is 18-3-1. Apparently, he has improved his communication skills.
