Maine Black Bears 2026 Offseason: Missing Out on Mistlebacher

The team wouldn't be selling out and have a huge waiting list. Last year sucksd but we just came off winning Hockey East. This year I think you are going to see the type of team Barr likes to coach and will see a different personality behind the bench. Let's see what happens but everything inside the arena right now points to this team could be really good.

They are spending a bundle on the bball arena and some walkway thing, but we have to stand in line that stretches down the hall for the bathroom.

Thread has been quiet so seems like a good time to bump with a cool update.

I had mentioned a while back that I've been compiling some stats and other goodies together. Didn't really have a plan in mind for how I was going to use any of it but I recently started putting together a comprehensive Black Bears history site to house it all. Currently the site has a full game log, single season and career stats for every player, recruiting class history, current commitments and potential linked recruits, NHL Alumni, scorigami, and a fun little jersey number guessing game (that is harder than you would think).

The design needs a little polish but hoping to make it a bit more dynamic and have it all ready to go live by the time hockey season starts. If anyone wants a preview shoot me a DM and I can link out to it as it stands now.
 
The full NHL schedule will be released tomorrow at 1pm. Hopefully that means the Maine-Cornell game will finally be announced soon after. I'm still guessing Saturday night at 8pm.

This sounds awesome, would love to see the finished product at some point.

Maine obviously has financial challenges but it’s hard to know how apples to apples things like what is in the article are. I’m sure every athletic department has a little different spin on how they handle their accounting.
