Re: Maine Black Bears 2020: The Hunt For Red October

You're fine. Just tone it down a little.

While this forum belongs to a private company so the freedom of speech doesn't apply, I agree. That's why I haven't suspended him. I just want him to follow the guidelines, which he isn't and it's been reported. He's been posting for years so I know he's perfectly capable of it.

For example, the post he just wrote in the Covid-19 thread was great. More of that :)

He makes this board unreadable. I click on this thread in the morning and it is just a block of

I have no interest in reading his drunken ramblings. He is clearly unwell. I also have no interest in picking through this thread to read the actual sane posts. It makes me visit and post a whole lot less than I have in the past. I don't understand how "He's been here forever, Maine fans know what he's about" is a reason to subject us to him. Why do the fans of every other team have an expectation of sanity in their threads, but we don't?

Mirroring my thoughts. Posts inappropriate for some threads are inappropriate for all threads.

Will there be FAN's @ Alfond..? This weekend..?

If I had to guess looking at other places I'd say no but with no known cases in Maine who knows what they will do. I bought tickets as the kid will be here so we are going if their is a game Friday night

The finalists for the Hockey East 3-star Award include Tim Doherty and Jeremy Swayman.

I think Swayman has done everything possible for Maine this year...still think he could garner POY in Hockey East(imo only).

The UMaine system has cancelled all in-person classes for the remainder of spring semester and will be sending students home.

Instruction will be online for the rest of the semester, Applies to all 7 campuses.

Well there, maybe no hockey spectators this weekend.
I think I'll just go into self quorantine, give me a reason to not go anywhere and get ready for spring fishing.😁

Re: Maine Black Bears 2020: The Hunt For Red October

Elsewhere, Harvard has decided not to let the hockey team even play at RPI this weekend. The ECAC is deciding if it just gives RPI a bye into the semifinal or reseed the tournament.

The Ivy League has canceled the entire spring sports season.

Still no confirmed cases in Maine and the state seems to have a good handle on reducing the impact when it does hit. I would say it is more likely than not that tomorrow we get an announcement that there will be no fans allowed at Alfond this weekend.

Re: Maine Black Bears 2020: The Hunt For Red October

No fans per Hockey East. Told you guys our one shot at NCAAs would be ruined by this stupid virus

Correction that announcement was UMass only. But I’m sure its only a matter of time
