She was suspended for a game. Got a little overprotective while defending a team mate. Fun player to watch. We did miss her on Sunday.

Watch to the end of the highlights from that game to see what she did to deserve the 1-game suspension. Whack...whack...whack...She even got one or two in on her teammate, Pasquariello.

Brittany is the team leader in penalty minutes in games played overall (28 penalties for 56 minutes), she's the counter part to Joey Diamond.

Looks to me like it was decided after the fact. I saw no game disqualification in the box score, only 2 minute minors.

After being swept by BC in the regular season (one of the scores 10-0), Maine battled and almost pulled the upset. Great game by Brittany Ott. While this year was a big disappointment, I'm looking forward to seeing this team to begin turning it around next year.

Probably not. I have to say the refereeing in college hockey is atrocious. I don't know how many times I've seen far more blatant hits from behind....including head first into the boards from three feet away when the ref was watching....not even draw 2 minutes. When deliberate injuries that cause players to miss whole seasons of hockey don't even draw a penalties, it's no wonder players take this sh** into their own hands. Not excusing it, but...

I must say with all respect intended, I am so glad to see Brittany Ott graduate!! She has been as great for Maine as LaCasse was for Providi and Snelling was for NU! I will be so glad to NOT see her next year as a Black Bear! Best of luck Brittney.....
