Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

apparently, diamond did not return for the second period... no word on possible injury

Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

Lowell came out and outworked us that period. They won most of the battles....

Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

I read somewhere else Joey is hurt and won't play again in this game

i probably wasn't clear "no word on possible injury" meant "he is injured, but announcers do not know what is injured"

Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

He's the only player worth watching.

watch hutton... knowing that he is a defenseman
he is almost as poised at the point as Imes was.

I predict that Hutton bolts at the end of the season, or after the Florida tournament

I would not be surprised if he yelled and screamed in the locker room, trying to rally the troops...
this is something that Timmy does not allow... so I would not doubt it if Timmy benched him

also before tonight, Maine was ahead of Army, Huntsville, Princeton, Sacred heart and UConn

Sacred Heart and Uconn play each other, so one of them will leapfrog over maine.. and army lost and Princeton kicked a55, so Princeton will probably move ahead of Maine.

fourth worst team in the nation...

look at the bright side, if Maine finishes last, they get to pick first in the entry draft... maybe Tim is doing this on purpose
heh heh heh

I could see Shore not sticking around either, couldn't be any worse playing Major Junior.

will someone tell carltonbarrett to go put on his burgundy and gold footie pajamas and write something on a BC blog. And leave us poor wretches alone. We don't need everything to be compared to the vaunted BC...

Carlton, we had this same disussion last year, go away!
No one cares about BC and their big recruits-it's almost abnoxious.
You are like the Yankees...lots of money and a nice big upper class city school-how hard is recruiting there?

Saw Diamond skate back toward the bench in the latter minutes of the first period, holding his hand or wrist. Wasn't on bench for 2nd and 3rd.

Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

Meloni's a dope. They used to say the same crap about the line of coaches they had at Merrimack before Dennehy, oh they can't win location, school size, etc. I guess they forgot that yarn about how the right coach can do it anywhere they were writing about him 2 years ago.

Funny how the Celtics did get back to prominence when they got rid of Pitino and got a good GM/coach. So even Meloni's analogy makes NO SENSE.

Clearly you are correct, on all counts.

Anybody who cites Hegs ( aka: "The Turnover Machine" ) as a defensive stalwart either has never seen him play, or knows nothing whatsoever about hockey.

I never bother with CHN. Nobody there ever seems to know what they're talking about; it's just a bunch of uninformed prattle a la Yahoo "News", and a complete waste of time.

Re: Maine 2012 - The Good, the Bad, or the Ugly??

All the CHN guys are a bunch of dopes who never played hockey, never involved at all besides Wodon who runs the place. Meloni is a complete dork who knows nothing about anything. Maine might not have the talent that they had in the Walsh days/early Whitehead days, but they have more talent on paper than a lot of the teams around them, at least offensively. Coach can't recruit and certainly can't coach.
