Re: Maine 2012 - Take 2. If This Ain't the Bottom...

Horrible news. I thought he was an extremely useful player and the kind of guy who wins games. Strange that he would be kicked off the team where he hasn't played a game this year. Surely there are more deserving candidates.

It apparently has nothing to do with hockey or his broken foot. It was done Sunday, December 9 and kept quiet until it was noticed today.

So is this where TIMMAY!! starts cutting players that he recruited, like it's their fault that he can't coach worth a damm?

Re: Maine 2012 - Take 2. If This Ain't the Bottom...

Yes...a group of good old boys who cover for and protect each other has never happened before. Seriously?

The school isn't going to fold the athletics department and suggesting they should just shows ignorance on the matter.

And the "changes" reportedly have to do with the roster, not with the coaching staff. Bryan reported on the air that he has heard that Diamond and Cornell have been watching practice, not participating, though he has not confirmed this.

One of my friends on the team greeted me with "I have nothing to say" about the situation. I didn't even ask because I assumed he wouldn't, but there's just a tiny amount of tension surrounding the team right now.

Good. There should be.

From what I've heard there is a pretty good reason for that

Cornell out after getting hurt at BU, back spasms etc. Diamond similar issue.

Makes sense with Cornell; hadn't heard about Diamond. Wouldn't be surprised if he's still feeling the effects of being mugged by Hoffman.

Just found out why Parker was booted from the team. Fully justified, unfortunately. He's still on campus taking finals so I'm not sure if he's going to stay at Maine or transfer. The reason will out eventually, but I won't be the one to leak it.

Edit: Leaving Maine for next semester, then undecided.

why even post that?

Re: Maine 2012 - Take 2. If This Ain't the Bottom...

Abbott, Whitehead, and UM-Zero will try and cover up the Parker story........GUARANTEED.

Thank God that UM-Zero is producing great citizens.........Abbott has already stated that winning is not important, but producing good citizens and academics are!

Re: Maine 2012 - Take 2. If This Ain't the Bottom...

It would appear that TIMMAY's teams are very similar to the teams under Semler the last few years he was here: more interested in boozing it up and hitting the keggers than winning games on the ice.

One infraction in particular was the straw that broke the camel's back.

He show up at a team meeting with a can of Bud in his hand? :D

and the difference is that Walshie;s teams were EQUALLY interested in winning as they were in beer

Re: Maine 2012 - Take 2. If This Ain't the Bottom...

You'd think if it was in a police log the BDN would have it, and would've reported it when it happened. Maybe they have someone looking through their archives for a Parker as we speak.

Re: Maine 2012 - Take 2. If This Ain't the Bottom...

Krist, you cant play good hockey unless your chit faced anyway. :D Just ask the BU players.
F'en Whitehead...trying to make himself look like a real hard azz take charge kind of guy now. Please.

Parker....3 goals...big deal. Who is to get excited about this guy anyway. Certainly not a player Walshie would have gotten excited about. Man, how things have degressed under Timmay.. Man I tell ya, I long for the day when we can really look forward to some special players returning to Orono to rebuild this program with pride.

That is because Walshie instilled the will to win in his players. Whiteheads clueless.

People will follow leaders anywhere. Whiteheads is by no means a leader, he is a born follower. Maybe he can teach the game, but belongs in D3 hockey.

UMaine Mens hockey even has trouble promoting themselves. This whole program is out of control ............http://www.goblackbears.com/sports/w-hockey/2012-13/releases/201212141a7l7a
