Re: LSSU Lakers 2015-16: The 50th season
If he is such a high end recruit, wouldnt he still be in the USHL instead of sliding back to the NAHL as a 20 year old?Another high-end recruit picked up by Damon Whitten. Randy Russon is all over it on www.hockeynewsnorth.com
Defenceman Kristofers Bindulis, who played for the Soo Eagles during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons when they were members of the North American Hockey League, has committed to the Lake Superior State University Lakers of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, HockeyNewsNorth.com has confirmed.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Bindulis, who has a 1995 birth date, is originally from Latvia and is currently playing his final season of junior with the Aston Rebels of the NAHL.
Besides playing in the NAHL with the Soo and Aston, Bindulis has also seen action with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League.
He is slated to join the Lakers of LSSU for the 2016-2017 campaign.
“I’m really excited to sign with Lake Superior State and move to the next level. I am really thankful to all the people who helped me and were there for me along the way to achieve my goals,” stated Bindulis.
