You're the only one that continues to diss the program that you have been a "fan" of for 30+ years and talk crap about every decision that's been made since your buddy Jim got fired. You want to hate on a decision made by LSSU, hate on the fact he was given 9 years to do nothing but alienate half the fan base and be a bipolar jerk to most of the people that had to deal with him on a daily basis.
As for Whitten, you haven't given him a shot and you claim you have credible sources that claims players hated him but you wont give up their names or even hint at who they are, therefor you and your "sources" are not credible. Everyone of the players that I have spoken to, which are credible sources, talk about how much they like him and the fact that they know everyone has a chance to come out and compete and earn a spot. You want to claim to be a fan? How about you act like one, instead of a baby that's living in the past and still trying to ride Roque's coque.
At least Bill makes rational points and posts articles on recruits. All you do is spew ignorance.

Pre-season media and coaches polls should be out soon. My guess is that we'll be picked 8th or 9th again. Hard to judge what affect having a new coach will have in the polls. On paper, we lost all 3 goalies from last season, we only have two experienced D-men back, and we lost two of our top three scorers, so being picked 8th or 9th sounds about right.

As polls go I would be surprised if we get picked anything other than 9th. For all the reasons you mentioned Bill plus we ended up in 9th place last year after tie breakers.

I'd be very surprised to see them get picked below UAH. 9th is a fairly logical pick; maybe 8th at best.

With no disrespect to UAH no way will they be picked ahead of the Lakers. They are rebuilding but are still at little ways away.

Good for Tim I think he's a good guy.
It is a nice article on Buddy. Happy for him but I sure was looking forward to his junior season for the Lakers. He was turning onto a beast.

I'm intending on being there. Not really sure if this was meant to replace the annual picnic at Sherman Park, with the park's beach closed for the season.

Your team has a future now and that has to feel so good. In two to five years UAH should be pretty much caught up.

I'm curious to see what goaltending turns out to be for the Lakers. We saw last year what having green goalies can do for you, but y'all should at least be able to sustain some offensive pressure and not consistently give up 45+ SOG every game.

Probably of more concern than having all new goalies is the fact that we have 5 freshmen on D this season. We only have 2 guys back on D that were regulars last season.

Great time at the Laker Launch today! Kudos to Coach Whitten, Kris Dunbar, Blue Liners, and the athletics staff for putting together a great family event. A lot of smiling faces and some great anticipation for a new regime! Can't wait for Saturday, hoping for at least a split this weekend!
