It was an enjoyable time. Not a whole lot of people there, which was too bad, but that didn't make it less fun. Kind of wondering what was going on between Perfetto and Globke. I hope it was just competitve nature getting the better of them.

It was fun. Wish the crowd was bigger. It was nice to get a look at the other 2 goalies. I was impressed by Davis, plays bigger than he is, good glove, didn't get rattled. Anyone else have thoughts on the goalies, now that we've had a look at them.It was a fun experience at the Blue/white game at the Pullar today.

That is great news for sure! Next weekend UAH is idle and UAA plays at Minnesota State. If we can get a split in Fairbanks and Minnesota State sweeps UAA (very possible), that would be great.

Blue/white games have never got a lot of people, even during the Lakers glory years.

NMU had a pretty fortunate goal last night with 10 seconds left in OT to get the win.
Yes, it would be nice to be 4 points ahead of UAA, seeing they have 2 games in hand on the Lakers. The Lakers would currently hold a tie-breaker against UAA due to greater number of conference wins.
Since the Lakers play UAH 4 times, that tie-breaker is going to come down to whoever gets the greater amount of points in the 4 head to head games.

Not looking good, at least for tonight. Embarrassing offensive showing so far through the first two periods.
Minnesota State took care of Alaska Anchorage tonight. Now lets see if the Lakers can pick up some points.

The Lakers gave up too many shots again. The fact that the Lakers are last in the PP and PK in the nation and no matter how much they practice to improve those stats.it just isn't working . The Lakers play worse hockey with the man advantage than they do 5 on 5 . The only answer is new recruits with a higher level of talent.

Looked to me that at the very start they had trouble, but then played fine the rest of the way. But yeah the pp wasn't good. Good luck tonight.

Over the next couple of seasons, we'll start to see Damon's influence on bringing in more up tempo offensive minded forwards. It won't happen all at once, but I do expect we'll see some of it starting next season. And yes, we definitely need to bring in one or two guys to run the PP.
I'm heading over to Hillsdale to watch the Lakers men's and women's basketball games this afternoon. Will be nice to see them in action also.

This game was pretty much a mirage of last night's game, minus the Alaska empty net goal. You gotta feel bad for Defiel. He posted a .952 saves percentage this weekend and has no wins to show for it. Hopefully the offense backs him up next weekend which will be by far the biggest series thus far this season.
