I'm glad the WCHA hasn't adopted the shootout, but with 2 conferences now doing it, doesn't it seem inevitable in the next 5 years or so?

It was expected to be a low scoring game and that certainly turned out to be accurate.

Lakers beat Notre Dame 2-1 to win the tournament.
Gordon Defiel gave up 1 going in 120 minutes over the weekend. Perhaps the Laker coaches know what they are doing with the goalies...

I think the results of last night's game determined who would be in net tonight. Lose to Cornell and Megariotis would probably have got a shot tonight.
Defiel played great both nights.

NO slack for Whitten. He got LUCKY Notre Dame scored on themselves to get the 1st goal and Drapluck scoring 2nd & only true goal.
